Pre-Script: Guys, take this thing seriously...lol, I spent a long time writing this all out, it must've been at least five minutes!! Just ahhm....if this affects you in any way...make sure you read it carefully, I put a lot of care into my choice of words and topics, so yah!


Well Gentlemen, (and I use that term loosely )

Over the last few months of playing A*A, putting in hours of work on the website and these forums, meeting all of you awesome peoples, and enjoying wars and TS...I'd have to say that it's been very fun and entertaining. I've noticed some things in myself that I really need to change though.

First off, I tend to put a lot of time into the things that interest me, such as games and the people that I hang out with, so, since I enjoy A*A immensely, I've spent many hours on it that should have been spent elsewhere. That, in turn, has caused me to really, really mess up a lot of the things that I could have earned or gained. I guess what I'm saying is that the hours we spend having fun on AA eventually boil down to a few numbers on a screen, numbers which we avidly compare and compete to change, and personally, I believe that's a lot of fun, but there's more to this life than just games.

Secondly, I'm competitive, I don't like losing; when I get beaten or I make a stupid mistake, I get a bad attitude and might say or do things that aren't too smart. I think a few of you could probably attest to that...I shall demonstrate in an excerpt from an ingame TS conversation:
Joe: DADGUMMIT!!!
10thMtn member: Go ahead Joe, say what you really want to!!
*long pause*
Joe: Nawww, it's aite, I don't cuss...even if I really wanna sometimes....

Thirdly, and yes, it may seem strange to post the most important thing as the last one, but stay with me! The most important thing in my life is my relationship with Christ. I've chosen to follow Him totally; in my songs during worship I say things like, "I give You my heart, I give You my soul, I give You everything I am", "It's all about You, Jesus", "May all I am be all for You", and so on and so forth. But then, when I live my life doing other things and not actually doing what I say, then I'm a liar and I'm wasting my time, and God's. Basically, I need to practice what I believe; I'm doing this so that I can live up to all that I claim to be. For a weak person like me, it's really hard to keep things balanced; A*A has been awesome, and I hate to leave, but that's exactly what I have to do.

I might decide to come back sometime in the future, but after I make this post, I'm deleting A*A. I'll continue posting in here and editing the site, but the game itself is off for now. lol, the main reason for continuing with the site is because I get to learn more about web editing from messing with that, and the forums.....well, I'm giving up the game.....not my friends. If Grunt'll let me, I'll stay in the 10thMtn; I just won't be an active member.

Hmm, lemme put on one really quick end note... This choice of mine has been a long time coming, been mulling it over for a long time; and just because I'm stopping A*A does not imply that I want any of you to, this is a personal thing, I'm not saying that A*A or comp games are evil, I tend to think they're very cool!!! I'm simply doing this because I've spent a long time talking to God about it, and it's something that I really need to do to help myself out and be able to know that I'm doing the right thing....even when it's hard.

Joe it has been fun and I thank you and Hammer for introducing me to the game and eventually getting me recruited, but what you said is awesome and you gotta respond to convictions that you have. I respect you and I'm proud of you for your decision and you have even shown me, even though I already know...lol, that I waste a lot of time myself and that I do not always have my priorities scr8. It's funny how life changes, I'm gonna be a married man in 1 month. wow..........but being more resposible is part of becoming an adult. Dude it has been a plaesure serving with you in th 10thMtn Div. and will be lloking forward to your return.

hey man it's not easy being a good steward of ur time
i'm trying to balance a 40 hr a week job a wife(what a wonderful one she is)
church and praise team practice. cleaning up the house paying my bills did i mention my wonderful wife she requires a lot of my time always wants me to do something around the house or honey give off the computer and please spend time with me i swear u spend more time with spam and hammer and all ur little 10th Mtn people than u do with me im not going to pay the internet bill so u can spend time with me. So therefore I've been tring to spend time with her and then she gives me permisison to play U think I'm kidding I'm not Hey if any of u are ever thinking about getting married think twice nah I'm just kidding marriage is wonderful just remember if mama ain't happy ain't nobody happy.
