Administrator Group: Admin Posts: 8 Member No.: 1 Joined: 15-July 08	Signing Up and Applying for Characters - ◘ Please sign-up with your character's FIRST AND LAST NAME only. If you make a mistake, contact staff and we can fix it. If you sign up just to advertise, prepare to be deleted. ◘ Okay, right now I'll state that we don't tolerate Mary Sues or Gary Stews. You character may be a cheerleader, but she can't be perfect. This goes for EVERYONE! I also won't stand for completely messed up characters. They can be a druggie or whatever, but they can't have a screwed up life, be a druggie, have a good girlfriend, have no/bunches of friends, etc. Try to keep it realistic. ◘ We may make a restriction on Original Characters if people don't take a lot of the Canons. We'd like most of the canons to be taken, because it progresses the sub-plots. Also, we may make a restriction on female characters, because they are always ones that get claimed first. If that happens, it goes for originals and canons that aren't in sub-plots. ◘ I'll allow a max of 4 characters per person. You have to have separate accounts for each of them and they all must be active. Not to mention AT LEAST two of them must be male characters. You can have more if you get permission from the staff first, but I'd like to keep it like this. ◘ When applying for a canon, you have ONE WEEK to finish an application. From the time you reserve the character. If someone finishes before you, you may fulfill your time and finish the application. Then, we'll choose who we think is best for the position. You, of course, have the choice of finishing that app or just starting a new one then. It's up to you there. Out of Character - ◘ Respect. It's enforced, it's required, it's gonna be your death if you don't follow it. I don't tolerate arguments or fights unless it's between characters. And if it's between characters, it better not be because of OoC. I'm evil, I'll enforce it until the end of this site. ◘ Don't advertise anywhere but the Affiliates board. It will instantly be deleted or killed or whatever. I'll get rid of it and you'll get in trouble for it. You can advertise in your profile, mini-banners in siggies, or in the Affiliates board. Which brings me too.... ◘ Avatars belong at size 100x100. That's why they are called 'avatars'. They shouldn't be any bigger and they will be edited if they fail to abide. Signatures should not exceed 200x500. That's two rows of 4 avatars. It's so the site doesn't get stretched because of stupidity. ◘ The C-Box. Use it correctly or you'll be banned from it. You can chat all you want, but please keep it relatively civilized, please. No fighting, no spamming, no advertising. Or I'll take it away. ◘ Character Face Claims. If it's been taken and you aren't a twin, please don't try to steal it. If the character is inactive, contact staff to find out if you can use it. There is a reason we keep the list, so you know what's not available. You can use anybody you want, but no nudity or porn please. In Character - ◘ The site is rated PG13 +. Which means you can do what you want. The only thing I ask is that you skip the sex scenes. You can imply it, but skip forward with a small explanation. That's the only thing I won't allow on here, because there's no telling how old some of the RPers are on the site. ◘ Keep fighting, drinking, drugs, and swears to a minimum. It happens, but it isn't insanely excessive, especially with teens. So please, don't overdo it or I can take it away completely. ◘ Posting length is a dread. Most people think you have to have these huge posts to make a good thread. I just request that you have AT LEAST 400 words in your post. That's about 4 decent paragraphs. More is highly loved, we won't complain! I also won't complain if it's a little shorter than that. But just to give the other person you are RPing with something to reply to, please make that the minimum. Microsoft Word and Open Office should have word count. Actually, I know they do. If I start finding these one liners or really short posts, I'll make a REQUIREMENT. ◘ Punctuation and grammar. If you don't want death, read through your posts before you post them AND use spell check. Sometimes spell check doesn't always catch the errors. Not to mention, it's a BIG pet peeve of mine. You don't want me harping on you, check your posts. ◘ That also leads to... NO CHATSPEAK. I hate it and it is not to be used in RP. Chatbox, sure. OoC, sure, but limited. DON'T DO IT IN CHARACTER! ◘ You can have as many threads up that you want, but they all better be active on your account and you better keep them going. I don't want to see anybody abandoning threads, especially the open ones that you snag. It's very rude to claim something and then leave the person. If this happens often, I WILL make a limit. I don't want to have to, but if I need to, I will.
