*Disclaimer* I’m about to rant a bit and swear a bit, if you have fuzzy, socially accepted feelings about the events of 9-11, it’s probably best if you stop reading this *end Disclaimer*
so, it's been 5 years since that most tragic and horrible atrocity.. that horror of horrors that was so bad as to be worse than anything else in the world in decades. and you know what, I still don’t give a fuck. Stop wasting my time with this crap, people don’t care, people didn’t care back then either.. well except new Yorkers and actual family members of those killed, but granted they have a legitimate reason to care. as for the rest of us, it meant little realistically, of course it led to an aggressive campaign against civil rights and personal freedom -- but that’s not the point is it? (well unless your on the side of 9-11 conspiracy... but that’s a different rant for a different day) all it's ever really been for the vast majority of us, is TV space, a call for sympathy votes... celebrities everywhere spewing "we care" propaganda. well Fuck them and their Bullshit PR game, and fuck the politicians who used it for their own agendas too -- “The event itself is nowhere near as menacing as the image it’s been made into.” The thing about life, Shit happens -- more people die of infectious disease each year in the states than were killed in the towers -- hell starvation kills many times more globally -- so do car accidents, and domestic crimes -- significantly more people kill themselves each year// it was a pixel in the population count, an insignificant spec, it meant nothing. *growl* and its more than the whole thing being a B.S. PR game -- its that no one even pretends that it isn’t exactly that, when do people care?.. 1 day a year- and what do they do, they swamp all forms of media with bids for attention -- the blond haired big chested TV star wants you to know what a tragedy it was -- yeah I’ll bet it really upset her day. It’s an annual festival of mendaciousness . I’m tired of it, fuck it, it meant nothing -- No one can even agree on what it was that it was supposed to mean -- religious extremists, government conspiracy (or government incompetence), whatever. pfffft -- anyway, I’m almost done venting -- this whole societal fixation with BS sympathy/empathy does nothing but aggravate me -- people being fake to fit an image bother me-- "Stupidity should and shall be Painful" The one thing I’ll give this day is that with each passing year there’s more talk of “what if”, what if it didn’t go down like the accepted story etc. But as usual it’s too little to late, and by the time the truth actually gets out, no one will care. anyway, chime in however you please -- For this thread anyway, flaming will be allowed, as will swearing. Anyway - anything goes as long as your post has a point, and has something to do with this topic. |
