well if we take a spell to be anything one does with the power of their mind, physically invoked or not, to change the either their perception of reality, or reality itself, than the only answer to your question is there isn't one. due to the fact that new discoveries are always being made that replace or change older ways of thinking this would include science as well.

wink.gif wink.gif Very Very good Perception is the mother of invention . .. Or so they say I am working on astory line for a writer that has a little writer's block, In her series the magical realm is out of the closet so to speak. Last book was shallow triing to spruce it up a bit . I can't go into characters But using that as a guideline I plan to use the character that she is at ends with the most to seed into the main character that outlook using it's mate for the medium. I'll put a character in you could relate with if it's OK with you. TYR.

All religions have some sort of 'spells' if you use the loose definition of the word. A religion has a belief in some sort of higher being or power, and the people who are members of that religion will of course ask that being/power for 'help' with their problems, needs, etc. That act of asking for help is what I am considering a 'spell.' It is the ritualized act of asking the higher power/being for help when you feel you cannot accomplish something yourself.
