A Dream.. Nick Sanchez brings something special to the Kansas City Ghostriders that no other player on the team could ever hope to be able to do. He plays with hope and passion in honor of his favorite player Sean Taylor. Nick grew up dreaming one day that he would play side by side his favorite player on the Washington Redskins in the NFL. The day that his idol was shot and killed in his home, his dream was crushed and he had just about lost all hope. The thought of revenging Sean's death and playing with the intensity that he had struck Nick hard one night at dinner with his girlfriend. He practiced hard and played hard which earned him the right to play in this private leagues called the Authentic Football League.
A Team.. Nick was drafted by the KC Ghostriders and brought something special to the team and to the defense. The fact that he played with so much passion and hope aroused his coaches. Nick was a big part in the teams 3-4 defense that for the most part dominated offenses across the league. Although the team did not make the Continental bowl for the chance to win it all, he feels that his team established there identity and will be a powerhouse next time around. With a good draft, and some position changes, not only with the defense be sick again, but the Ghostrider offense will be unbearable. After a disappointing 6-5-1 season and missing the championship game, the Ghostriders plan on taking the Cereal Bowl and having a superior next season.
Nick Sanchez Making A Big Hit
Breakdown Nick has a lot of work to do entering this offseason. With possibilities of CB Scott Lynch moving to WR, Nick might have to step up and now be the leader of this secondary. Although Nick has 99 speed and a pretty high acceleration, he has to improve in the catching and tackling departments. Also his awarness is really low which could be another huge downside to his play. Nick has high hopes of raising his acceleration and possibly taking the starting jobb on kick return even though Scott Lynch put up monster numbers this season on kick return. Moving forward Nick has a lot of work to do if he wants to be the best secondary player in the AFSL.
