The Amphitheater; Let's Get Loud.
Image (c) Respective Owners)
The first floor is merely the "backstage", with staircases leading up to the second floor for the main attractions. Those in the higher hierarchies are seated at the top tiers of the theatre, while the poor stay near the stage, with people selling rotten tomatoes in case the play is not to the liking of the public. (This rarely happens, however, as those who attend theatrical viewings are rather pleased with the people who perform.)

Two kids slipped off a high wall and had to have bones reset that morning. Two. Later, around ten, a man had to have a large laceration in his right arm treated and stitched. Then, as soon as that was over with, a little girl scraped her knee, which obviously required a doctor to fix (at least at the expense of the wonderful parents...)
All before lunch.
I can tell that it's just going to be one of those days...Haaah... Marle Sable lay in the nearly empty amphitheatre seating area, surrounded by only a handful of spectators. A local improv group had taken the stage, and were putting on some interesting acts, occasionally pulling in a member or two from the audience. He wasn't really paying much attention at that point, all he could think about was the sun on his face, the refreshing breeze, not having a swarm of patients at his door...
...Yeah...
The only thing that could make it better, would be...Well, you could probably guess what that was.
Oh well. You can't have company all the time...

"No, I have not yet seen them. Why do you ask?"
Uh, well...Good question. I was just making bad conversation, is all...Agh! Why is this woman making me forget everything I know about how to not act stupid?!
"Well, see, tha--ack!"
Marle had opened his mouth to give what he hoped was a convincing answer when he felt himself being yanked up to the stage by...By...
One of the actors.
"Uhh, can I help you?" he asked, completely nonplussed. The man, a tall, burly creature who looked more suited to heavy lifting than heavy acting jumped as if surprised, and looked around as if he had never seen the person he just hauled up from the audience.
"Well, sure! Glad you volunteered, since we could use the practice!" ...Why are you giving me that dirty look. Please don't, I'm begging you. Not now, not in front of--
"Oh, and would your lady friend be so kind as to join us?" the man added, in a far more gentle tone and offering a hand to said lady.
...Oh no. Don't tell me that they're going to...
What have I gotten myself into?

...I don't believe this.
"I think that would be really stu--"
"That would be lovely. What say you, kind sir?" The woman slowly approached the...Thing, motioning at Marle.
"--Great." Wait, no! Definitely not great!
Although. The woman - ...Oh man, I don't even know her name - was interested...So that made it a bit more appealing. And the man looked encouraging enough, for someone who could life Marle up bodily with one heavily muscled arm.
Why does it seem like the world's laughing at me today?
"Well, that's settled then. You can call me Armand. Why don't you two introduce yourselves now?"
...I don't want to say anything, really. But that look he's giving me is pretty persuading...
"Marle Sable...Doctor," he added at the end after a short pause. He said it as calmly as he could, trying not to look at the woman or the scary man. I could perform like this any day of the week, but that woman...Ugh, how did I get myself into this mess?
