Welcome to Abyssus Invocati!

The Season Is...

It's a busy time of the year now that the harvest is in! Aspyre has survived the drought with the coming of the autumn rains, although the temperature is steadily dropping. Bundle up and don't forget to wear gloves if it's too cold!

TIMELINE

If you're Victorian, why are there cars in the pictures in the forums?
Well those houses are Sims 2 houses, so I couldn't really change the look of the outside world, but the basic premise is there; those are what the buildings look like.

Reaction-based?
We are reaction-based. Basically, what we do here is that we give an initial situation (ex. there's a drought) and then the members react to it (ex: go on strike, etc). Based from that reaction, I will make more plots (ex; because the people went on strike, half the town was ransacked, etc.) and so on!

Victorian Era? Then there should be trains! Industrial Revolution! GORDITAAAAS!
While we are partially based on the Victorian Era, we do not follow the timeline. While there are some modern pleasures in Abyssus Invocati (like plumbing) , we do not have trains, and steam engines and stuff like that.

But still, according to the Industrial Revolution, we have repeating rifles and suspension bridges and electricity!
Please take note that the admins of Abyssus Invocati has taken many aspects from different timelines in history to form our own little world.. There are no steam engines here, there is no electricity. As fellow Admin Anke de Schuldeif said; "Abyssus Invocati is a bastardization/mix. That means random aspects are taken from different time periods, in different countries and different continents, even. If technology is inconsistent, that's why-- if architecture and date is odd, that's the reason. Don't strain yourself over reality; this here's a fantasy."

GOLD

Why do we have gold?
So you guys can purchase things! Things as in like extending slots or adding abilities to your character. Or raising your character's tier. You can earn 10 gold PER POST.

So...if we buy something with our earned gold does it subtract with our current gold?
Yes.

Do you accept refunds?
No.

QUESTS

QUOTE (Lianor @ Aug 12 2008, 03:37 AM)
Well just so we'll make things less confusing, how do we proceed this quest?

Do we wait Lord Wantutu for this?

Just make a thread. Self RP it. Look at Whispers of a Nameless Fear. Note how Wantutu alternates between Lord Meron (1st post) and Jehuty (2nd post).

Now I'm not saying you should alternate, but the basic premise is there.

If you are alone, Write it like a story, but reach the basic page requirement. That means you divide your story in posts. Write in your usual roleplaying style.

FOR EXAMPLE:
Your quest is to stop a thief. Your character will probably know that a thief is there because someone shouted 'STOP THIEF' or you saw the thief take an item.

If you are 2+, Then we'll use Wantutu.

MISC.

... Why is Vodka and Tequila crossed out in Foodstuffs?
As of now, we haven't unlocked the trade routes leading to those respective countries.

If Aspyre doesn't like having a King, why are they calling Haine the boy-king?
Aspyrians use the term 'King' lightly. To them, being King/Queen means that you're the legal guardian of the state.
