IMPORTANT:
This edition of Graphic of the Week has been CANCELLED due to inactivity and lack of entries. This thread is for any and all questions, comments, suggestions or complaints about the second Graphic of the Week competition. OK - I would like you opinions here... Should we continue GOTW, or should we give it up as a failed idea that never really took off, or should we just leave it for a few months or until there are more members? Also, if we continue the GOTW competition, should we have it as another open-themed competition for any and all graphics, or should there be a set theme? If so, what do you think the theme should be? OK, so seen as Acer has returned, I thought it might be a good idea to bring back this good ol' competition. I'm planning to get this underway again by the 15th of August - albeit it'll be more like 'Graphic of the Fortnight' at first... So - anyone got any suggestions as to what would make this competition better? Any and all suggestions are appreciated. (Note that I currently plan to start with an open-theme competition before moving on to set rendered-themed competitions ...unless there are any objections?  ) -------------------- |

I think the open themed / freestyle graphic competitions is a great way to start this week's theme. Let's hope we can gather more interest here and there.

OK, so it's agree'd - this edition of the GOTW competition shall be open-themed/freestyle.
Sorry everyone for not opening this all up sooner - I've been very busy as of late. OK, I'm just gonna get the entry thread up ready, so prepare to take part in our awesome Graphic of the Week competition! Good luck to all who take part. Feel free to discuss the competition, ask questions on how it all is run, and stuff, here in this thread. EDIT: And... HERE's the new GOTW submissions thread! OMG - is anyone actually gonna take part in this competition??? I mean - there's no real point in going to voting stage if there aren't any entries!
I've submitted an entry of my own to try and encourage people to get involved in the competition - in the meantime, the submissions deadline has been extended by almost a week. Closing date is now midnight of the night of Friday September 12th - so get those entries in! Turok - I look forward to seeing your entry for this edition of GotW.  -------------------- |

I posted this in the submissions thread, but I shall post it here also:
This edition of the GOTW competition will have to be cancelled as the competition entries are 3 years old - so, instead, I shall start up a new edition to try and kick things off to a fresh start. Good idea, Acer - lets make this (temporarily) into a Graphic of the Month competition until things pick up, as that will make it a much fairer competition and allows more time for more people to submit entries. The new edition will start this trend, and I'll open it up for submissions hopefully some point tonight. -------------------- |
