There's nothing wrong with Steam as in there's a malfunction (ie. It's running as it is supposed to according to its code etc). It's more to do with the way it does things, like downloading updates for games.
Everybody also has a Steam ID which they log onto Steam with. It helps prevent piracy of games like CounterStrike, because each copy must be authorised by Steam before it can be opened or used. BUt when piracy does get through, well, I know someone who had their ID stolen and so Steam wouldn't let them play online until they bought a new copy (with a new ID) And most of the services they provide, like trouble-shooting, are rubbish anyway -------------------- |

Thats exactly why I don't like it. That and it slows down gameplay (Not by much but it still does...On some PCs it is evident). I used to have a steam account but I forgot my password to it so I can't even use my serial again for CS ;.;!

Steam can act a bit fast or normal, depending on which server it is and all. So it's like a changed effect.

just go to Filter and make the ping to 100. It gives you all the fast servers....thats what i do for TFC.

Acer should start a CSS Server and a TeamSpeak or Ventrillo Server as well so we can all play on it....like Killbox and GlassHouse and the other ones too. That be soooo awesome, even if someone else could get a server up that be pimp too but chances are its not gonna happen but in the mean time we should get everyones Steam account names and play sometime
set a date and play on a empty server or something -------------------- if i could make an OS I'd call it Doors: Where windows wouldn't let you

The more activity that we can get, the better outcome we can play Counter-Strike at its own server.
