Registering

First of all, do everyone a favor, and read the rules! Failure to comply AU rules will result in Mod Watch, or outright expulsion (i.e. you will be banned from the site).

You MUST sign up using a proper first and last name for your character, separated by a space. You may NOT use any copyrighted names. This not only includes names from the Harry Potter books and movies, it also extends to any other names of characters that are copyrighted (or otherwise belong to) their respective creators or owners (i.e. books/stories, movies, celebrities, comics, etc.). If you're playing the part of "Harry Potter" or "Hermione Granger" at another HP-based RPG, then AU is not for you.

If all is correct with your registration, your account will be validated, and may move on to the Orientation process.


Orientation

Before you can go any further at AU, your role-playing must be approved. This is done in the Orientation Hall in the Ardnieu Multipurpose Wing, where you will meet and interact with other hopeful freshmans. If your role-playing is acceptable, you will be allowed to take the Admissions Application.

Once you have posted, an admin or moderator will review your post and assign you to your dorm, based on the information you provide.


Character Profile

The final step towards becoming a member of AU is to post your Character Profile Survey. This is basically the same thing as a character description, and is a requirement for all AU members.


Sometime during the posting of your profile (if not, immediately following its submission), you will receive a welcome letter containing your dorm room assignment as well as other pertinent information.
