Well, I had a topic about recording sound without it shouding like shit. I finley found out the problem. I could simply jack up the ammount of space the file took. Apparently around 48000k is where it sounds right around CD quality.

Now if I could just get a truely digital sound instead of analog...that'll have to wait though till I get some better equipment.

Anyways. This question is about recording again, but it's different.

I'm wanting to know how to record sound in sterio. I've been recording it through the Mike port, cause that's how the Sound Recorder works. But I've recently been getting into recording Sterio sound. And I've found the Mik port doesn't record sterio. It's odd, cause it plays through both speakers. But it doesn't play true Sterio.

I'm useing the Sound Recorder program, it's free and comes with Windows, so I figure everybody has it. But there is no options menue, and what passes for an options menue doesn't have the option to record throught the Line in port. That's what I'll need.

So I just need help from anybody that knows. How do I set the Sound Recorder to record from the line in port? If it only records from the Mike port, what free programs out there can I get to record through the Line in port?

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
