I want to play Morrowind before I go to bed.
I got cursed by some woman when I attacked her. I needed to rest and she would not leave so I killed her. What was I supposed to do, eh? -------------------- What do Saturday nights and baby seals have in common? They are both made for clubbing. Armageddon |

Fortunately I've managed to badger my roommate into buying Morrowind. And because his PC is one hell of a lot more powerful than mine, I've been playing on his for the last two days!
And my Nord Barbarian character, Takai is already at level 5! GO THE STRENGTH WHORE!! Wh000t! *Hits enemies with BIIIG axe* Morrowind truly rocks my socks dammit! Now if you excuse me, I have business to deal with in the Balmora Fighters Guild! This post has been edited by Aliginge on Apr 24 2004, 06:56 AM |

Ummm...find a different bed?
Go to the guild you are affiliated with? Go to Caius Cosades' house? Go to a tavern? What IS your character anyway, Alpha? Nordic Barbarians rule! XD |

I am an adventurer.
I dumped a bunch of different stuff on him instead of letting the game choose my class for me. I do not have a guild. I do not know anybody. I like killing people. Being cursed blows. I finally found a funky cult inside of a town. -------------------- What do Saturday nights and baby seals have in common? They are both made for clubbing. Armageddon |

I wander around stealing stuff and attempting not to get myself killed while killing people for the use of their beds.

My tale begins as a Nord Barbarian trying to be a knight. He falls under the sign of life and the dead fear him.
Being a Barbarian I didn't take crap from anybody. I found it hard to communicate with the elves and the people around me. I went off into the wilderness to make my new life. I started small with the anmals and when I was strong enough me and my axe carved our way through the tombs of the ancestors and then through the many dwarven ruins. I forged a strong relation ship with my axe which became known as "Last Rites" as it performed many. I was bitten by a vampire and made my way to the nearest town. On the way I was met by the Orc known only as Umbra. (His swords name). He lived a long life and had no equal in battle. He only wanted death. I gave it to him. Umbra became mine. It is a mighty sword too bad i need practice with it. With Umbra at my side and ol faithful standing behind I killed off numerous vampires. I will not let them try to afflict anyone else. Not everyone will be able to cure it. I made my ways through the Fighters guild and my affiliation with the Blades had me start the trials. All that got put on hold the minute i realized that i was not knight I wanted to be. I was in an old Dwarven shrine and as always attacked by the sick cults that perverse the ground they walk on. In my blood rage i attacked an innocent. I realized i am not a knight and now need time to refocus. I have taken up the life of a monk. I wear no armor and will not use a weapon until I am ready to weild it without hurting the innocent. It is harder then it looks. I read the books that were printed. This world is greater then I imagined. By slowing down I realized I am good with enchanted items. I have a amulet that allows me to fly without worrying about casting. I need to make one to constantly heal me. Then and only then will I be ready for the trials. -------------------- "Truth does not change according to our ability to stomach it." Flannery O'Connor

Well....shit!
If that ain't proof that I am the long-lost clone of Gertrude then what the fuck does? 1) I'm a Nordic Barbarian 2) I also wield an axe (Single-handed) 3) I also take crap from no-one - even if it does end up with me saving directly before I kill someone so I can go back to my pure, un-damnded existence! That's where the similarities end however, I fell under the sign of the Warrior and my Combat-whoring ways began. No stealth, magic, Bow-and-arrows and crap for me thank you! *Pulls out single-handed axe* DOOOOM COCK!! *Puts axe away* Although I am trying to be me in real life...a pure do-gooder bastard! Sure I've killed eleven so far and I strip them of their clothes and dignity as a calling card to their next life...but they DID all attack me first...that I could prove if need be! I'm not killing these people...merely setting them free from their scum-like life down in the shit-pit that is Morrowind! I will personally purge the land of theives, the Dark Brotherhood, Religious cults, that twat of an Imperialist leader and anyone with the name "Robert"!! *Pulls out Axe* DOOOOM COCK!! *Puts it away* Lastly, can I just say what an absolute PUSSY Caius Cosades was to beat! Seriously, I beat his ass so easily and he's giving ME orders? Twat! !Currently I'm at level 5 and have a Strength stat of 72, which I admit I'm quite proud of so far as that is the highest stat I currently have. Now I need to head back to some ruins and do something about a bloody puzzle box.... This post has been edited by Aliginge on Apr 25 2004, 09:21 AM |

I started Frank off as a conjurer of creature and weapons. I also am an adept in Mysticism and Enchanting for the stealing of souls and the creation of magical items. Right now I have about 40 weak enchanted items that help me along my way such as 'Robe of Water'(waterwalk), 'Belt of Crappy Floatation'(levitate10for10), and 'Ring of Jimmining'(open30). A level 8 the last time I checked.
Now my original character, Morty the Nord, now that's a guy! A level 23 'Everything.' I started him off as a conjurer also until I found out that I suck badly with the conjuring. I thusly gave up on that and spent 40 days wanding the lands searching out quests, loot, and... well that's about it. This is also the character that I had used to save up for the 30,000 septim Ring of Lock Blasting. Took me about 20 hours of stealing and selling. I then (Spoiler!) finished all the thieves guild quests, became the guild master, and the Neverine, united the houses and the tribes, defeated Dagoth Ur at Red Mountain. I then went around with my Boots of Blinding Speed which uped my speed to 270 making it rather easy to get anywhere. (They're really useful but they blind 100%. Take Caladan to Gnaar Mok and talk to Pelemie.) I then went to Vardenfell and went into the sewers to find out why the Brotherhood wanted me dead, killed 60 goblins, meant to find out why the King was building a goblin Army, got lazy, and started a new character. You can read my entire adventure here. It's not really a good read, more just a showmanship thign. I do have to say, when you guys have to go to Tel Fyr, bring level 100 lock breakers. The loot there is REALLY useful in the game. -------------------- ![]() BEWARE, COW-RAAAWWWRRRR!!!! |

I tend to suck at pc games and this is no exception.
It may be the fact that they allow you to do what you want that gets me into trouble. The first thing that I did in the game was to steal something in clear view of the athorities. Then I resisted arrest which got me summarily killed for my troubles. I now wait until nobody is in the room to jack their stuff. I do have a problem with not being able to sleep in any bed I wish so I have come up with the solution of killing the person who owns the bed and taking their stuff before going to sleep. It is becoming rather enjoyable to go into random homes just to kill the inhabitants. They do not need to have anything worth stealing or a bed for that matter. I just enjoy the reaction when you attack a person that was in the middle of a conversation with you. I killed some little blonde git because he was staring at me for too long. I do not like being cursed as I had to dump all of my gear and search out a freakin' shrine in my underwear. This did elicit some rather amusing comments from the inhabitants of the town I was in. I robbed a guards barrack while I was in the tower so it was not a total washout. I am an adventurer as I did not want to have the game choose for me. I will jot down my stats the next time I play and add them here. -------------------- What do Saturday nights and baby seals have in common? They are both made for clubbing. Armageddon |

Ali, I have done that too. Saved just before I go up to someone. I wanted to try my skills against the best fighters in the land. So I figured I'd try the fighters guild. I started with Fire Eyes and in a matter of a minute they were all dead. Chumps all of them. I began my testing phase anew when i cleared out the mage guild. I then went door to door seeking a challenge. The guards even fell before me. When it was all said and done Cias was infact a chump. I remember there reactions. They were to afraid to even move towards me. They would even tell me that.
I however use two handed weapons. I only use one handed axes when they are enchanted or when I have nothing else. Rare but it does happen. Last Rites is a two hander with 1-25 fire damage. Soon I am going to make my own. Just need more grand soul gems. None of this petty common nonsesne. I really have to beat this main quest and begin my taming of Solstheim Hint: go to the scamp Creeper in Caldera for the good money. He will not short change you on your items. He only has 5000 but that is more then any merchant I have found thus far. -------------------- "Truth does not change according to our ability to stomach it." Flannery O'Connor

I wonder if he has 5000 each time you speak to him. If so you can just sell your items a few at a time.

My adventurer was born with the unfortunate name of Fenrir Lemurian.
He is still at the lowly level of one. I did get to kill a bunch of jokers in a cave someplace. They did not wish to converse with me and all attacked as soon as they saw me. I had no choice. I killed some sort of hound upon entering this cave and everything went downhill from there. This was the first time I had ever been attacked for no apparent reason. Usually, I have to be the aggressor in these situations. This was a novel experience. I am a not so proud Redguard with no affiliations to any known guild though I was sought after by some cultist woman. Who can blame her, eh? Stats I have a lowly strength of 60 which would explain my tendencies towards petty larceny. Being not too smart my intelligence is at a mere 30. My willpower is not much better being a paltry 40. My agility is now at 40, but I can say that I am working diligently on upping that number. My speed may only be 40, but that is alright for now as I spend most of my time skulking about the landscape being the sneaky sort. My endurance is at 50 which is a good start for me. I like it when people beat on me as it reminds me that I am alive. My personality is a weak 30 which is not good at all when it comes to bartering for goods. I am quick to anger and do not like to spend too much time with these petty merchants. My luck is only at 40 so it is suprising that I get away with some of the things that I have so far. I live under the sign of the Shadow which gives me the ability (Moonshadow) to become invisible and avoid some rather uncomfortable moments with the angry denizens I have left in my wake. I have a big fat reputation of 0 which is to say that I have done nothing memorable in public view. I prefer to make my mark in the shadows. I have a bounty of 5 on my head for some slight of hand that was spotted by the athorities. I should just dump my gear and turn myself in so as not to lose anything good and then I will at least be able to speak to the local lawmen without having to deal with resisting arrest and becomimg just another rotting corpse in the street. Major skills Long blade - 50 Destruction - 30 Short Blade - 35 Acrobatics - 31 Athletics - 46 Minor Skills Mercantile - 46 Axe - 25 Spear - 19 Medium Armor - 25 Enchant - 15 -------------------- What do Saturday nights and baby seals have in common? What you do is sell to him. If it is more trade items until you get close to 5000. If you exchanged for items and money take those items to other merchants. Sell those. He restocks his money every 24 hours in the game. By the time you make your rounds he should have another 5000.
Interesting thing happened. I went to a shrine and the goddess asked me to perform a quest. I felt like i was in Clash of the Titans. While on this quest (have yet to find the destination) I found a temple. Two factions were fighting. I had no idea what side to pick so now i am killing them all. I wish I had restore strength spells. I am doing this all without armor. I wear only common pants. That skill flys up like there is no tomorrow. I did find a small glove worth a fortune and does like 9 different things. Has something like 3700 charges. Its sick! -------------------- "Truth does not change according to our ability to stomach it." Flannery O'Connor

I found a dude who will make a spell from an existing one, but it is real expensive and I doubt that I will have enough mana to cast the damn thing.
I paid him for it and was going to use it on him to roll his corpse, but I did not have the mana to cast it. Ah well, maybe another time. -------------------- What do Saturday nights and baby seals have in common? They are both made for clubbing. Armageddon |
