Ok, as we know this month hails the new edition of Guild Wars. As all of us Guild Warriors are excited, it seems that it may be a while before we get anything off the ground...work is picking up, new lives have been created and our base is ne'er as strong as it used to be. My question being is that should we wait until slower days after we have amassed resources to try guilding, or shall we jump right in and build at the ground floor?

What we really need to do is to rethink the concept of the guild itself. What do we really want from our members?

It is obvious that just helping out new players lost it's luster rather quickly as none of wanted to hang out in the early stages of the game for too long.

What I feel we should do is to form the guild as a social enviornment. If we gain a member that does not seem to be very friendly or is just plain selfious then we should get rid of them.

It should not be about the amount of members we have, but instead about he quality of those that we choose to keep on with us.

If we can all get along in conversation then it would follow that we would be able to get together for things like GvG more often than with the extremely loose group we had before.

We will never be able to keep the real hard core players in our sort of guild as we all have other things that occupy large amounts of our free time.

Blah, blah, blah, let's just wait for Factions to be released.
