You know, where I work I have a co-worker who deems it necessary to make herself look better by lowering the credibility of others within her "realm". I have been there just as long and no just as much as she does, yet she continues to rock the boat in a negative way and is rewarded for it. She downgrades everyone behind her back, is always belittleing my work as if I was a child, and whenever I do have a good idea and think of something useful to help the company...she gets all the credit. Luckily the bosses have noted her extreme disrespect for authority regarding hours and the happiness of her coworkers, yet none of them do anything. What happened to the good ol days of integrity in business? Who knows... I guess im just whining and bitching, and that you would have to be there...but it is extremely nerve-racking. Does anyone else have the same issue? I mean she orders me around like a dog, yet we are of the same positions...and if i said anything about it, she would rain the bosses down on me, for she has their ear in most aspects....it blows...

 LOL Sorry about that, couldn't help it. (Though, you never know, it might be true) I do know what your talking about though. Everywhere I worked has been just the same. The working people are the ones that are always in trouble and getting fired, while the slackers and goofoffs are the ones that get Praises and raises. It's some bullshit just honestly. But it's says just as much about the people you work for, as it does the people you work with. If the management can't see the problems, then honestly, they shouldn't bee in managerial positions. Just my thought on it. Perhaps you could take a small tape recorder, hide it, and record some of the crap that goes on, and if the managers give you any flak about what she's doing, or your supposedly doing, you could show them. -------------------- -----=-----=-----=-----=-----

We have had individuals like that at my job, but I just ignore what they say and go about my business.
I come off at work as though I am on an equal basis with management. It makes my life easier and allows me to make off hand jokes where others must watch what they say. Some people just get off on making others feel lower than they are. It is a sad ego booster for those people and you just need to not let it get to you. Stand up for yourself when it is needed, though and do not let them metaphorically walk all over you.  -------------------- What do Saturday nights and baby seals have in common?
