Alright alright you raving group of loonies. You only need two requirements for this game:
Ability to listen and -accept- what the DM says.
A sense of adventure.
I started working on an FFX conversion a while back and got a mini forum for it on Icefall but ended up being so horrendously busy that I never did anything. Hehe, figures. But Finding the Fayth is that.
Set around three hundred years before the Eternal Calm, this ongoing story benchmarks its wondrous world in the misty visions of a society in decline. More than seven hundred years before the Machina war between the two super powers, Bevelle and Zanarkand raged on Spira. After many hostilities and fruitless attempts for each side to subdue the other, Sin appeared and began laying waste to the area surrounding the marvelous city of Zanarkand. It was then that the Aeons were created. Living people who chose willingly to die and become artefacts of great power to guide an age through the difficult shadows it must face: and the woman chosen above all others to wield their power in conjunction was Yunalesca, protected by her husband Lord Zaon.
For a while after her Final Summoning, a great Calm appeared and the ruins of society tried to pull itself back together... but Sin only returned years later with anewed vengeance. The fury of it swept aside the machina and soon the new religion born from the chaos of Zanarkand took form, the church of the Yevonites. Years passed and Summoners became the desperate hope of a people stuck in a spiral of death: people with the intense courage to stand up not only to Sin, but to Dance souls to the farplane when they could, to face the ultimate truth in any life.
That a summoner must die to defeat Sin.
Some challenged that theory: a few outright defied it.
But that truth remained and so as Kinna's Calm comes to a slow end the pilgramige begins once more and so your journey starts with new footsteps into the unknown...
*Note: Since this is set three hundred years BEFORE Yuna, many things have changed. Especially the Baal ruins: Anima is no longer accessible as an Aeon. Instead we replaced it with Alexander. Two other Aeons have also been added. If the world map for spira therefore looks slightly different, this is before Sin has had a chance to destroy these cities and their Aeon-statues and temples. Thank you.
So if you wanna have a go, I'll start looking up my old stuff which I still have (thanks Becca!)
