Good Tuesday morning, afternoon, or evening depending on where you are!!

At my work place they have updated their web blocking software. They will no longer let us go to social networking sites at work. For some reason this site, Asexual Lesbians, is not blocked but AVEN is blocked as are Facebook and Twitter. Oh well. It was fun to tune into those sites at work while it lasted.

Feeling sleepy and a little low today. I'm hoping that I'll shake it off by the time I head off to work and start to get into my tasks.

Its another Tuesday.

I'm spending my day at work running tests on the battery software for the satellite. It involves lots of organizing of data and organizing of test results. Soon I'll be at the stage where I have to figure out how to fix the data or the software so the tests that failed will work.

The two hikes I went on this past weekend pointed out that my nice new hiking shoes are a tad too small. I hope to get to REI and exchange them for a half size larger after work today.

I have promised myself that on Thursday I will get myself to the court house in Sunnyvale, CA and file the petition for dissolution of my domestic partnership with Charlotte (my ex). I have been avoiding this for months and really need to get it done. My reward if I do it is to treat myself to a massage this weekend!!

{{{{{Cathy}}}}}} I can understand why you are putting off going to the courthouse. Endings hurt, even when they are wanted and you know it's for the best for everyone involved. It's like witnessing the death of something beloved and knowing you cannot resuscitate. I bet once you do it, you will feel lighter and breathe easier.

It's a drizzly, chilly Tuesday here, good napping day but I had too much to do. The cat is all cuddly and napping on my lap. :)

I might go on a short hike after work today, around 3 miles at a park called Fremont Older if it warms up a bit. It was unseasonably cold for spring time yesterday and my hiking buddy is going to beg off if it continues to be cold. I can't believe she thinks temperatures in the 60's qualifies as too cold. :huhlol:

I came home yesterday from work and just vedged the rest of the night. I napped and watched TV and ate dinner. I didn't do any volunteer work or work on the dissolution paper work.

What's up with you this fine Tuesday?

It's a peaceful rainy Tuesday here. After being blasted with record highs for 4 days, we're now at a comfortable 49!! YAY!! (Cathy, your friend would think it's frigid here today! :haha: )

I had a half hour massage today, a slice of heaven! When she was done and got out her schedule to book my next massage, she asked, "How long would you like the next one to be?"

I said, "How about 5 hours?!" :o  Not only would I not be able to afford it, her hands would be crapmed for days.

Cathy, it sounds like you earned the right to veg out! There will always be volunteer work, you need to take care of YOURSELF first or there is nothing left to give to anyone else. Recharge your battery! You deserve it.

Factoid: The days of the week are named after planets/god/dess's:
Monday: The Moon
Tuesday: Mars (god of war)
Wednesday: Mercury (messenger of the gods)
Thursday: Jupiter (many eastern religions believe this is the most auspicious/holy day)
Friday: Venus (goddess of beauty)
Saturday: Saturn
Sunday: The Sun

It was very quiet around here yesterday. I hope everyone is doing OK.

Another day at work for me.

I am going on an evening hike tonight followed by a board meeting for the Loma Prieta Gay and Lesbian Sierrans club.

Yet another quiet Tuesday.

I did finally ask the guy that intimidates me my questions at work and it all went very smoothly and he was very helpful.

One of the very cool things about this week so far is the lack of meetings at work. I have no meetings scheduled for the rest of the week. Hurray. We'll see how long that lasts though! People have a habit of scheduling meetings with little warning.

I see my ex today after work to talk about the dissolution paper work. I feel stressed and nervous about it. I'm looking forward to the end of the day when its all over.

Cathy, good luck with the meeting with your ex today. Tomorrow at this time it will be over and done!

While cleaning the bathroom, I slipped on the wet floor and my foot slammed into the side of the metal register slicing it open. :( I finally got the bleeding to stop by elevating it. Now it's all black & blue and swollen. I need to go out this afternoon, not sure how I will fit a shoe over it. But the bathroom floor is sparkling! :haha:

:o :o Ow! yogachick, that injury sounds nasty. I hope it heals quickly.

My ex and I have an agreement!! She was very happy with the settlement agreement I wrote for us and put her stamp of approval on it. I'm so relieved that the meeting is over and it went so well. Happy Dance!!

Its Tuesday but because I had a three day weekend, it feels like Monday. Its been a quiet day at work so far. I'm hoping to go to the gym tonight and get some exercise. Then I'll watch some TV.

Busy day today. Work followed by a 1.5 hour hike followed by a board meeting. Phew. Here are links to pictures (click on the pictures to see the albums) from my weekend ... a hike and pictures of my bottle brush tree losing branches.

Better late than never: I got and planted flowers today. There is something so relaxing and calming about digging in the earth and planting flowers. The birds serenaded me (or maybe they were just telling me to hurry up and fill the feeders! :haha: ), the gentle breeze cooled me, and the flowers were a symphony for my eyes. My mini rosebushes are all in full bloom. Every year I buy another one to add to the family. Some have cross pollinated to create new colors, very cool!! B)

Enjoy your hike Cathy, thanks for posting the pix from the weekend hike.

Feeling sleepy this morning. I might stop at Starbucks before work to get a nice strong cup of coffee. We ran out of coffee at work and someone bought some of the cheap coffee in bulk and its not very good.

Work is really bringing me down lately. I feel like I'm just spinning my wheels and getting no where.
