A gentle yawn passed the petite blonds lips as she rest her head against the wall. She'd been here for an hour now and still wasn't sure why. There had been a reason originally but that had been lost over the hour. Though sat on a stone floor she managed to get quite comfortable and didn't really feel like moving. So far very few people had passed her and none had spoken to her. She was getting a bit lonely and really only wanted some company. It wasn't that Teena didn't have any friends, it was more that she didn't have any friends who had decided to come through the entrance hall that morning. Shifting slightly as she realised her rear was starting to go numb she stared down at the ancient pair of black converse that adorned her feet. Today she had went for a much more casual look than usual choosing cut off denim shorts a T-shirt advertising ‘The Jam’, a band from the 70’s and 80’s, over her normal floral feminine dresses. She didn’t really care if people thought she looked a bit like a boy and had no idea who the band on her top was, she was actually quite pleased with her outfit. Fiddling absentmindedly with the leopard print scarf she had tied around her wrist she studied a younger couple as she passed through the entrance hall.

Teena hated couples, she hated them with a passion. She had once been a couple, in fact she’d been a couple a few times, but every time she had her heart broken. It wasn’t that she hated guys, she kept going with them and falling for them, she just hated relationships. She always got her heart broken and well she absolutely hated that. No one could really blame her though, who enjoyed having their heart broken. It just seemed that Teena was much more susceptible to it than most. A cool wind came through the open doors nearby and she shuddered. It was warm enough but the doors seemed to act as a wind tunnel directing all wind and wet and coldness into the entrance hall. She knew if she went outside she’d be much warmer, but she couldn’t be bothered.

Today was Teenas’ lazy day when she could relax and just chill out. God she loved Sundays, the only bad part about Sundays was that Monday always followed. It reminded her of that song Manic Monday. Every time Monday came around Teena found herself rolling around in bed praying it would just go back to Sunday. By Tuesday she didn’t mind lessons and getting up early so much it was just Monday that bugged her. Though she supposed it was probably worse for kids who didn’t live in their school, after all they had to get up and actually go to school she just had to go to class. It wasn’t nearly as bad as the foreboding walk to school she had experienced as a young girl. God, she had hated muggle school. It was so boring and bland, she didn’t care that the people were muggles she wasn’t a pureblood arsehole, but she wanted to use her magic and talk about her magic. It also bugged her that she couldn’t brag that her father was in an amazing band and her mother was the first female minister of magic. The muggles didn’t know of magic and had never heard of her fathers band.

Here she didn’t feel the need to brag about her heritage as much for some reason. Maybe it was because everyone already knew, or maybe it was because she’d just grown up. Sure she was a bit of a mummy’s girl but she didn’t feel the need to boast that, she loved her mum and that was good enough for her. Sonora was obsessed with dad but Teena tended to ignore that, she didn’t like her sister, she was a bitch. Secretly Teena always felt sorry for Fallon he didn’t get nearly as much attention as her or Sonora, it wasn’t nice at all. She had never understood why Sonora got so much attention, everyone knew she was a bitch and a brat. Even her father knew, but yet he loved his little princess. It was probably because she always tried to play music. A small smirk came across Teena’s face as she thought of how dysfunctional her ‘perfect’ family was.

It was a Sunday afternoon, for once, Fallon had only thought about going back into his dormitory and taking a nap, before he went up to the Owlery and mailed his father the essay that he'd received an E on. His parents had not sent him one Howler (yet) and as long as he proved to them he was doing well in school, they would pay for his apartment in London, away from his sisters and family in general, to be on his own and to hold his own hours whenever he wanted to. Fallon’s lips curved into a small smile, looking of the red ink’s E as he folded it into an envelope and inserted the brief note of “This is my proof that I will pass this year”. He moved from the Great Hall, white dress shoes clicking along the stone floor when he saw a flash of blonde hair that belonged to someone very important to him. Fallon looked rather hysterical, but that was only if you didn’t know fashion. He’d dressed cleanly in a pair of tight brown pants, with a matching white belt. He hadn’t given much thought to his shirt and he’d left the wifebeater he was wearing yesterday on and put on a pair of brown suspenders (that weren’t over his shoulders) with a chocolate and grey fedora. He’d shoved the letter into his back pocket as he crossed through the Entrance Hall, seeing people he knew. His hair flipped out of the fedora so it was just sitting on the back of his head and he grinned at his baby sister, flopping down next to her. The floor was dirty, but this had never stopped Fallon before.

“Teena, what are you doing on the floor?” Not protective big brother yet, just interested in what she was doing. While Sonora and Teena fought and Fallon and Sonora fought, Teena and Fallon never fought ever. He couldn’t remember a time when he’d actually had a verbal spat with her and stormed up into his bedroom. She was the usually trying to keep peace in their house. It was a huge house, everyone who knew the Barbarys knew that Heathcote and Milly had spared no expense for their first and only house and when Fallon was born, to spoil him enough to feel wanted but not so it was obvious he was the most spoiled one in the family. You’d never knew know that Fallon Barbary’s bedroom was the size of the Gryffindor Common Room and provided an ample space for him to sit in his bedroom and stare out of the gigantic windows. You’d never know that his closet was approximately the same size at his dormitory and he’d slept in there as a child because it made an excellent place to have a fort. They pretty much lived in a castle, a beautiful sturdy castle. And nobody was unhappy, ha! “I’m sure you’d love to sit in the entrance hall at home, but I’m sure Mum would forbid it. So come and walk with me to the Owlery.”

As demanding as Fallon was, he was sending an owl to their father and he did think they hadn’t spent much time together since sitting at the morning kitchen table while Heathcote and Milly gave their gigantic lecture on how Fallon was supposed to do better this year and if he didn’t, Milly was going to make him come home and be a house elf for the rest of his life, even if he was too tall and too proud to be anything but Prince Fallon. And then, once she’d announced it was time for all of them to leave, Fallon (illegally) apparated there, beating his entire family to the train station and ignoring the looks his parents were going to give him seated in the back of one of the horrendous Muggle inventions, cars they called them, ha! More like noisemakers. He touched her knee gently, as to inform her that it was time to go and he wanted to nap.

Just as she was about to rise from her spot and find somewhere more comfortable to sit, preferably a cushion, Teena felt a body drop beside her. Glancing to her side she smiled "morning" she mumbled noticing it was none other than her big brother. Today, like every day, Fallon was dressed to the nines and looked far more impressive than her. Though Fallon was far more impressive than her in many ways. It didn't really bother her she loved her brother. Which was weird because she hated her sister, her sister hated her, her sister hated Fallon and Fallon hated their sister. Secretly Teena suspected life would have been much easier if Sonora didn't cause as much trouble as she did. She might have liked her sister if they had formed some bond as children but it had never happened and well not Teena just tried to stay far far away from Sonora. "Okay, bare with me on this because I know I'm going to sound crazy," she warned him in an almost serious way, "I think my butt may have like attached itself to the ground." Although Teena knew this was impossible by the laws of science and by the fact she could move her butt if she really wanted, it was exactly how she felt.

"Mum's not here," she responded sticking her tongue out at him. Of course she'd go with him anyway but she liked being cheeky and playful at times. Sure a lot of people got annoyed at her when she acted like a child but she loved it. Things were always much more simple when you were a child, and things were always so much more fun. It was rare to find a teenager who could get the same joy from a tree and a child could and that upset Teena. She loved to mess around and climb tree's and go swimming fully clothed and just be free. It was her idea of fun but she rarely got to do such things. Everyone she knew seemed to like to be all grown up and pretend they were mature when for the most part they were incredibly immature and needed to just let go.

When he felt her touch her knee she let out a sigh and pushed herself up off the ground brushing herself off. "You're a pest, you do know that," she teased with a playful smile. Of course she didn't mean that, but she knew Fallon was smart enough to take it as light humor. Jumping about from foot to foot she waited for him to get up. She'd had too much sugar at breakfast and now was on the hyper side but she didn't think Fallon would be annoyed. He did live with her after all. That was one of the reasons she knew her and Fallon got on well, because he could put up with her endlessly all summer. It was also the reason she thought her and Sonora didn't get on, Teena was very happy-go-lucky and well she knew that bugged her sister and then Sonora's attitude bugged her. It was an endless cycle of I'll claw your eyes out. Though secretly somewhere she believed Sonora should have felt special, she was the only person in the world who brought out her bitchy side.

He almost wanted to reach over and give his baby sister a hug, her normally sweet self not showing through, but it was a Sunday and he didn’t mind this fact and she was probably was feeling a little lazy. That and it was only Fallon. He knew she’d say it to him in any way that she fucking felt like it, because she was his baby sister and that was his reasoning. Fallon had become wardrobe consultant for his family since he was old enough to determine which fashion choices he liked the best. And while Teena’s faded t-shirt and jeans probably said she didn’t care, Fallon knew if he was smart, he could get her up stairs in a cute dress of some sort in no time. This was technically Fallon’s outfit for Sunday, as casual as casual could get. He pursed his lips and laughed, at first, finding the concept hysterical. “Tee, I’ve heard a lot of things, but that just sounds insane.” He laughed again and then he got up, using the wall as his anchor as he adjust the fedora on his head and adjusted the note in his back pocket.

“Yeah, but you know how she gets when she finds out we’re doing things we don’t normally do at home. Like when she found the cigarette in my coat pocket. I swore she was going to kill me before Pops decided it was totally cool with him.” That was exactly two summers ago. Fallon had since smoked in the house for exactly three years, two of which that his parents had known about. Heathcoate Barbary was totally calm with the idea that his eldest child smoked a cigarette every day, usually in his office and being a rock and roll legend had that on you, cigarettes were not the worst thing out there. Muggle drugs were. He loved going out and playing on stuff, although Fallon was not the Quidditch one of the family, at all. He didn’t have the drive to play it, but he did like to watch. It was one of those sports that just captivated his attention, something that he didn’t exactly love outright, but he followed it enough to be able to consider himself a Gryffindor (the majority of his house was obsessed with the sport) and Fallon usually didn’t want to be associated with his house.

“Well, I am your older brother. Besides, I’m posting a letter to Pops, so let’s go up and see the Barbary owl together. Maybe Autumn has something for you.” He led the way out of the Entrance Hall before turning to look for his little sister. “So, what have you been up to? What’s the situation with the boys and who am I going to have to personally murder when I get away from Hogwarts.” He was a seventh year, much to his parents surprise and he was graduating in June of this year, no matter what the Headmaster or his Head of House had said, Fallon Ajax Barbary was going to be a free man in nine short months.
