Answer:
The four restricted tribes are each restricted for different reasons, mostly related to their playability on the board.
Red Talons: A player seeking to play a Red Talon should demonstrate some knowledge of wild canid psychology and pack dynamics in their application. Owning the Revised Red Talon Tribebook is an absolute plus, and demonstrating the concepts of Wolf Heart and Human Mind in the application/posts would be absolutely wonderful.
Shadow Lords: Hakken are out, unless the player demonstrates sufficient understanding of their codes of conduct and tribal culture. Western Shadow Lords require that the player demonstrate an understanding of betaship and power, and how their character feels about those concepts in the application.
Uktena: Uktena players will be expected to demonstrate knowledge of their character's culture of origin in their application, particularily its mystical traditions and the role of shamans in those traditions. They should also be familiar with the perspective of the Pure Ones in regards to Wyrmcomers, and their character's opinion on the Wyrmcomers should be noted somewhere in the app. No white-skinned Uktena will be considered as per the totem's canon bias against Europeans and their descendants-please refer to the Revised Uktena Tribebook for further information on this.
Black Spiral Dancers: Black Spiral Dancer PCs will require that the player has demonstrated maturity and sensitivity to the boundaries of their fellow RPers. The Admins reserve the right to present the player with a few OOC scenarios to discuss how they would handle certain issues that may arise when playing a Black Spiral Dancer PC. Prospective Black Spiral Dancer character concepts must be discussed thoroughly with both Gaia and Psychopomp.
