Unless it's an obviously dead or duplicate account I see no real point in deleting said account. People can and will stop posting or logging on for extended periods of time without notice because it shouldn't be required to give notice when there really isn't a whole lot on the forums that requires anyone to actually come here frequently considering most can be accomplished on the field anyway.
Sometimes the best way to administrate a forum is to just not do something. Less worrying about how someone else uses/doesn't use their account means less stress means having more fun and or time to deal with other issues that are more important both on the forum and away from it.

note the LIST.
maybe some sort of note should be edited on to the title post so that people who do not have names on the list won't go "please don't delete me!"
the ONLY people who should be mentioning the validity of their accounts are those who ARE on the list and are otherwise unmarked on the list. if your account IS deleted then you can easily make a new one.
and I should note that foreign field accounts are not the only form of communication we have with them. at the very least kent has a board where we can communicate with both them and rasheab (as he frequents that forum). noteing them as members of the kent field was my equivalent of mentioning them as present and accounted for on our field in my counter list.

it seems that people don't remember me much, even though i go to the field almost every week. i don't want my account deleted, i do get on from time to time
