State Why you want them to be if you want too. This is a very important time for the World, and the United States must make an important decision soon.

I want neither of them to be president, cause it's too much a responsebility for most of the products the US brings up today. Why not put a large congress of citizens in charge instead of having a goverment, everyone could have their turn in the congress during one period of their lives if they like, now that'd be democracy. dry.gif

The president is only part of the Executive Branch. There is still the Judicial and the Legislative. It is supposed to be a perfect balance, but America has tilted more liberally from the constitution in the last 50 years.

And if its talking about responsibility, then you must read McCain's history. He's served as a senator for the last 28 years I think, and he was a prisoner of war being Tortured for his country for five years.

Obama was a community leader of some sort before he became a Senator. He has been a senator for 3 years.

27 vs 3 years....I think it might be to much for Obama, but McCain really does have an impressive amount of experience with power and responsibility. There aren't a lot of candidates who have had a record like that, and they were great Presidents.

And your idea sounds good, however that is exactly what it already is. They are both citizens who work through a democracy with power. The difference is that the other millions of people in America have a chance to pick which candidate should be the leader.

American Politics actually have a lot of good sides to it, it's just that like I said we have strayed pretty far from the original constitution.

I think Obama's the better choice. He has better ideas on how to deal with problems in the United States when compared to John McCain. Obama's ideas are more modern and he does not believe in sending in troops for problems that can easily be solved diplomatically where as McCain strongly believes in the need for war. Obama is also quite modern and knows more about the economy than McCain.

If you've watched the previous presidential debate then you'll also notice that Obama had better conduct and was actually answering the audience's questions where as John McCain was just trying to point out all of Obama's faults and wasn't really getting to the point.

More war, bad. However, There are important reason why to finish the job. Plus, Obama doesn't want to stop the war, it isn't really a debate of stopping the war, it's a debate of how to finish the war.

And yes, he did attack him, but that is politics. Obama attacks him almost just as much. I don't think either of them really answer the questions.

oh great.. politics... the easiest thing to get in an argument over.

Right now I could care less about either of them, sense they keep talking about spending money, during a financial crunch. And both have given little response on it.

Untill November 4th... I'm not mading a disision.

Sad how much intune everyone is to the american elections.. but when it comes to other countries.. most americans dont even notice.

That's mostly true regarding which countries we pay attention too. I don't think though knowing who the Leader of Zimbabwe will really effect an American Honestly. The Election of Iraq and Afghanastan? Yes the concerns the Americans, but America is the most powerful nation in the world, so it would make sense that most people including foreigners would think it more important then some other elections.

I think though that it would make sense if we paid more attention to the Prime ministers of England and Japan though, and I confess I have no knowledge at all of their leaders as of now.

yeah but my point was there are more people making the decisions and I don't believe one single man is able to handle the responsebility of an entire nation.

I personally don't think either of them were a good choice to go into the White House. All candidates say they will change America lol. I can't see Obama co-operating with us anymore lol.

Well that's certainly not what Gordon Brown thinks. According to him "Obama is a great friend of Britain".

Sam, give the guy a break xD

He took over at the worst possible time, he was the reason we didn't go into ressession about 7-9 years ago, he was a very good chancellor, not a good prime minster.

Remember we could be a lot worse off as well tongue.gif Blair totally ruined our rep though.

Barack Obama will be my president now, so I have to give him a chance. I don't really have a choice lol, but regardless, I highly disagree with him and feel uncomfortable someone like him was even a Senator. I will always give him a chance though.
