Stardust River was indeed a relaxing place to settle down at after a long day. The river was clam today and flowed slowly, it looked as if it were glowing because of the night sky. The breeze in the cloudless sky was light with a slight chill to it but it was still relaxing. The stars were shining bright tonight and it seemed as if nothing could go wrong. Life along the riverside also seemed to be taking in the beautiful night. Rabbits hopped around calmly and deer took drank from the cool river water. As the water flowed along its path, some of the water went a separate direction, into a nearby stream. The stream carried to water to a small bowl-shaped dip in the terrain, creating something similar to a sauna.

Coming back from a recent hunt Nightspirit, accompanied by his guide Tri, walked slowly towards the river. The two had known of this sauna-like area and often came to this area to rest and relax. Nightspirit walked calmly over to the sauna and dipped his nose into the water to test its temperature. It was just right for both of them. He raised his head and looked around the area to make sure no others were around; he didn’t want his spot to be found by others. After seeing no one around, he made his way into the water and sat of the soft sand-like substance in the water. Soon Tri jumped off of Nightspirit’s head into the water and began swimming around. Nightspirit relaxed as the water rose above his wings to his neck. He began to slight doze off and closed his eyes however, his ears were still alert.

“Its not often we get to relax like this Tri. But afterwards we have work to do.” Nightspirit said to the raven with his eyes still closed. “What work would that be sire? Hopefully you’re not thinking about meeting more wolves…” Tri glanced at his master and saw him smile; indeed that was Nightspirit’s plan. “Sire we don’t have time for this!” “Relax Tri, it will only take a few days, besides, we can return to our mission later.” Nightspirit said grinning at the raven. He opened up one of his wings and splashed the raven with some water, much to his irritation. “Just relax for now; we shall look for them later.” Nightspirit said, dozing off again.

Xirikar had managed to escape from his lands well ok not excape but take another day to himself. Only maybe his smartest move today was his dumbest. He hoped to return to see both his guide and mate alive. With not being there he wanted someone with Ceres and damn it all his word was law. He wasn't going to take crap from the little fox any more. Though he must admit he hadn't been out alone anywhere before and it was quite interesting.

"what a day thankfully I'm not stuck in another storm."

He was quite enjoying the spring air feeling relieved from his shackles that the fox always kept around him. Though many things ran through his mind right now, like his pups how many would there be? Would they all be healthy? Would he make a good father? All these questions plus more but more so about the pack. Like would they be the only two plus all their young? Could he hopefully gain members? He let a sigh escape his maw as he continued is even stride to the river.

The water looked so cool and refreshing though it wasn't hot out side he was still quite hot and thirsty from his trip out here. As the land slightly sloped to the waters edge he caught sight of another. Xirikar smiled this could be his lucky day.

"Is it that boring out one must lay there on such a bright day?"

Nightspirit lay in the river perfectly relaxed, even Tri who was usually tense was enjoying himself. Slowly he began to feel as thought nothing could go wrong but then something disturbed his sleep. Slightly raising his nose in the air, he detected the scent of another wolf. His eyes still closed and ears relaxed, he tried to pay no attention to the wolf and hoped he would go away but he didn’t. Finally catching on to the approaching wolf, Tri flew on top of his masters head.

“Sire, a wolf approaches.” Tri said nervously. “I know that Tri, he isn’t trying to hide though, so he is of no threat.” Nightspirit opened one eye to the wolf as he approached. He didn’t seem like he wanted a fight so maybe he just wanted to talk.

"Is it that boring out one must lay there on such a bright day?” the wolf said.

Nightspirit grinned at the question. “It’s never a bad time to relax my friend.” he said. Slowly he opened his other eye and gazed at the red wolf. He jumped out of the pool and shook a little to dry himself off then he walked towards the new wolf. “My name is Nightspirit and my guides name is Tri.” Tri waved one wing at the wolf and then slumped back down on Nightspirit’s head. “I’m glad to see we aren’t alone in these parts.” Suddenly Nightspirit’s demeanor changed a little, slightly more serious. “You have the scent of a Sunfire on you, but you’re not one. Where is this other wolf?”

Padding along with wings resting, the black and purple-hued nightwind was just browsing through the area. She really should have been back guarding her territory, but she didn't have any members in her pack... yet. So there was no harm in a stroll was there? However, her little 'stroll' was cut short when she scented out one of her fellow acquaintances with another wolf. The scents though told her that one was Nightspirit, a fellow 'friend' you could say. The other scent was one she smelled and was wary about frequently. It was Xirikar, the Alpha Male of the Cheveyo pack. What could the two possibly be doing together? A sudden pang of caution hit her. Nightspirit couldn't possibly be giving him information on her could he?

From her hiding place, she watched the events unfold in front of her. Everything was at a point of calm so far. Nightspirit seemed to want to be alone; well... tough luck now wasn't it? Xirikar ventured in with a harmless question and Nightspirit answered it accordingly. Now, it was rude of her to be listening in, but she couldn't help it. This was a little interesting to watch. It was better than being alone in her empty lands since there were few wolves around anyway. It seemed that Xirikar had all the luck. The lucky guy. Although, maybe he wasn't so lucky considering Nightspirit suddenly became aware of the other scent on Xirikar. He said that he smelled a sunfire? Well, news spreads fast and Xirikar had been mentioned having gotten another in his pack as well as there being a new Alpha female. Great, just her luck... she was behind on power and members. Oh well, she'd make up for it.

With the question in her mind of before and Tail back at her pack land (since she wanted to be alone for a little bit), she emerged and made her presence known to the two males, caution thrown to the wind by a tense stature. Her pelt wasn't standing on end, nor was her tail trying to raise itself. She would only do that if Xirikar posed a threat since they were of course on even ground -it not being their territory. With a measuring gaze, she looked at Xirikar and then to Nightspirit, inclining her head at him and then walking a bit closer to the two. "Well, hello there Xirikar, Nightspirit, and of course Tri." she named off, including Tri. She still didn't like that bird.

A sunfire hmm she once may have been a sunfire like he himself once upon a time had been one himself. The blazing pelt that always carried the look of fire. The night air held more then just the scent of this male in the air though the scents not at all smelt fresh. He was spending less time outside of his lands and more time inside them.

"I know no sunfire I know a very lovely black bird who is my mate. Nightspirit well I'm Xirikar Alpha of the Cheveyo pack."

Xirikar stopped as another voice broke from the night's music. The voice was famine and Xirikar froze. He tensed for a minute unliking how the unknown wolf had been listening in it is the only way she could have known his name he knew no one form here unless she was from his past.

"Do I know you?"

Xirikar stood there as he turned around his body relaxing as he looked at her with golden eyes. Who was she? He hadn't seen her before well not that he could remember.

((OOC: I figured that the Alphas knew who else was in rule since they mark their territories all the time. If you want, we can just go with the idea he said it before she emerged.

“Is that so?” Nightspirit said still doubting the new wolf. “I guess I sensed wrong then, my apologies.” Nightspirit sat on the ground and began to scratch his neck with his paw. He stared back at the alpha and noticed something, his wings were gone and only the stubs remained. This caused him to stand up and glance over Xirikar with a curious interest, even Tri was a little curious as he hopped a little closer to the alpha as well. “What happened to your wings Xirikar? Did you lose them in a fight or something?” Nightspirit sat on the ground and awaited an answer.

However before he could be giving an answer, an alluring scent caught Nightspirit’s nose. This scent was from none other than Shiray, he knew she was close. Within seconds Tri heard a noise in the bushes and immediately flew to his master. Nightspirit on the other hand, didn’t budge but instead smiled as Shiray appeared. As she greeted the two wolves and bird she calmly walked between them. He was surprised she managed to follow him; maybe she had something to ask him? Or maybe she wanted to toy with him more? … Well that’s according to Tri. “You again?” The raven said in an irritated tone, “Don’t you have other people to stalk? I shall be in the pool sire.” The raven leaped off of Nightspirit’s back and glided back to the pool. Ignoring Tri’s comment Nightspirit smiled at Shiray. “Shiray? What a pleasant surprise! I was just talking with my new friend here Xirikar, he an alpha of his pack.” Slowly Nightspirit turned around and began walking back to the pool. Once he was there he hopped in creating a large splash and he sat down in the soothing waters. “So Shiray, what brings you here?”
