Transfiguration Position currently open. Reserved for Gene Kano The Transfiguration room strands at 15 feet tall just incase someone or something big decides to enter, with double doors that only stand 6”6 high and 7 feet across. The doors are wooden and have strange Celtic designs carved in them. Extending from one door to another is a stalking panther surrounded by these designs, its eyes staring viciously and its paw looking as if it was ready to swat at whoever gripped the handle first. Also, a sign saying; “Transfiguration. Use it or lose it.” The impression you get when you first walk in is that this is a strange teacher, though few are normal at Blood Grim High. The atmosphere is clean and purple. The walls are dark purple, as are the seats. But the desks are black and white, showing an extreme lack in taste. There are 15 desks fitting two people each. On the desk there always sits a new set of instructions for the kids to do before or at the beginning of class. The floor is hardwood everywhere except for the front of the classroom, where the teachers’ desk sits secluded in a corner. The desk is never messy. All the papers are filed and placed into boxes next to the desk. On the clipboard there is a seating chart, the teacher lets students chose where they want to sit for the rest of the year, with few exceptions. The desk itself is white with a black sleeping panther carved into it with no extra designs. It has two purple candles with black holsters sitting on it with flame that never seems to go out. However, it could just be a trick and the teacher replaces the candles after every class or so. There is a quill holder with ink bottles by it on the far right corner. The wall has very few pictures and posters on it. One saying “Less I hear, less you say.” portraying that he would be listening to your conversations and he didn’t want to hear anything that had to do otherwise with his class. In lay terms it was saying “Shut up.” |

Music Room Class led by Professor Endymion Wolfe. The music room is completely circular. At the center of it, on a rise, is a baby grand piano; the piano itself usually changes color, but mostly it’s either white or black. The piano bench changes with the color of the piano, but the plush covering the seat is velvet, and a deep cherry red. A pair of soft black cloth gloves are usually resting on the seat, those gloves worn by the only person allowed to play it; Endymion. The piano is the center point of the room, on the wall opposite of the door there is a chalk board with permanent Léger lines on them, rhythms usually scratched out on the board for the students to decipher. The students sit on a variety of comfortable chairs, beanbags, couches and mats. The floor itself is made of a soft carpet type of material. There are tables that hug the circular wall filled with candles and other things and statues related to music, candles and soft lightning found around the room. There are two circular stair cases leading up to a different level, one stair at each side of the chalk board. These stairs lead up to another door covered in curtains. There is a hall lined with doors, practice rooms for students wishing to practice for their juries. The hallway feeds out to a larger, circular room, about the same size as the classroom. This is the home of Blood Grim’s Orchestra, students and teachers with whom which are members. The room is set ut with comfortable seats in a half circle, the conductor’s podium at the curve, where Endymion himself stands. Each student is taught to read music, and then taught the notes that associate with the instrument the student has picked to learn. Each student must pink an instrument, and at the end of the year perform a Jury for Endymion and a select few to judge if they pass. The first and second year students must perform in a Jury, if they do not then they will fail. Third and fourth year students must perform in a Jury consisting of more than one piece of music. They must also take a written test demonstrating their knowledge of musical terms and their ability to read advanced musical rhythms. Some of the advanced students even write a piece of the music for the orchestra to perform, rather than playing in front of others. |
