Luthien smiled as she took her hand and mentioned that she agreed with his monologue about moonlight swims. He was quite certain that some of their allure came from the power and draw they felt from the moons light, sort of an aphrodesiac to getting in touch with oneself on a most basic level. Not to mention with their animalistic heritage their proximity to mother earth and daughter moon was increased ten-fold for man, unfortunately has drifted so very far from those bonds as to appear more of a family friend or a distant cousin than a direct descendant of. Luthien grinned and blushed slightly at the thrill of her last words, certainly they had flashed through his mind before but never was he to utter them, no that would just be wrong instead he chose a more...roundabout route.

"No indeed it does offer that. For under the soft light of the full moon when all the rest of the world is bathed in shadow and night one is bare and open with his emotions to the other one in his company. A peaceful, and secluded encounter is what a night swim offers the young couple. A distinct difference from the glaring, openly exposed sunlit swim where our deepest emotions are repressed and pushed aside so that we may laugh and run and play. We are like the phosphorescent plankton of the ocean, during the day we are deep below the surface floating along with the world around us but at night...at night is when our true beauty is seen and the slightest brush of the world around us brings out our true esence."

As celeste passed in front of him, stepping nimbly over the shards and rocks as only a dancer of great skill and prowess can do, he made it a point to both admire the quick fix she made with her hair and drink deep of its rich aroma. Instantly he knew that would not be a scent that would idly leave his memory. Furthermore, that one little sensation would help to cement this night in his own mind so that its memory would lose none of its potency. Barring of course that memories never do seem to capture the true essence of the moment.

"So madam must I consider this a date between two people then?"

He asked with a playful grin and gentle eyes. He was truly curious but he would not be thrown off if she said neigh. In either case he knew this would be a night to remember and would take joy from its memory long from now.

Soul:
O, WHO shall from this dungeon raise
A soul enslaved so many ways ?
With bolts of bones, that fettered stands
In feet, and manacled in hands ;
Here blinded with an eye, and there
Deaf with the drumming of an ear ;
A soul hung up, as 'twere, in chains
Of nerves, and arteries, and veins ;
Tortured, besides each other part,
In a vain head, and double heart ?

Her descent over the crystals was nothing short of fun. The way Celeste found she had to twist and move her body made it all the more challenging, and she reveled in the provocation. Once she had reached the other side she looked over at him, listening to his speech. A smile that reached her eyes appeared on her face at his words. It was the last sentence that had caught her attention. For it was a sentence filled with more truth than he knew. It was under the light of the moon that she could be herself. Not just in the aspect of being a werewolf, but of showing who she was, what she was like inside.

They continued walking toward the river and lake and then the question came. It caught her off guard, for she didn't think at all that that was what she was insinuating. And yet the appeal was there. Celeste couldn't deny that she was attracted to the man with her. He was so like her in many different ways. They both shared a love for books and had the same take on the moonlight. Not to mention they were the same, both born with the curse rather than coming about it differently.

She turned her head and looked up at him, a small and soft smile on her lips as she nodded once. "I suppose you could consider it that." She said before turning back around and walking on ahead of him, her hand slowly leaving his as her fingertips brushed against his palm and fingers.

Luthien blushed with a shy grin as she gave the answer he was hoping for, yet with such a subtle tease as to make the option all the mor tantalizing. And the brush of her fingers as they trailed across his palm...well lets just say that Celeste seemed to have a very distinct way with her careful touches, so very purposeful...and so very effective. Even fighting it Luthien could not keep the slightly boyish grin that was creeping across his face. Such an amazing woman he had discovered tonight, and here he was about to appear some love-struck school boy...well let us say Luthien wasn't about to let that happen.

"Well m'lady, if a date this be, than proper etiquette and form shall we exhibit and express."

Said Luthien as he rusehd forward quickly and scooped Celeste up in his arms, carrying her with his left arm behind her back at the shoulders and his right arm at her knees. He was slightly surprised to find how light she was considering the musculature she had to have developed for her dancing and found that his plan of carrying her to the river may not turn out so badly after all.

"In the absence of a carriage m'lady may I offer myself as a substitute? For I would not risk damage to those deft and pretty feet of yours for a casual walk to the lake."

He said with a broad smile and deep-throated joyous laugh, the likes of which he had not known in some time now. He looked down upon his boon and gave a grin and a wink as he thought to himself, "Nice save Luth, nive save indeed."

Celeste was paying no mind to Luthien behind her. After brushing her fingers against his palm, she brought her hand to the front of her, where she rubbed her fingers against her other hand. When she had let her fingertips run against his skin like she had, she felt tiny sparks flow through her fingers. What they were, she couldn't tell exactly. But they surprised her nonetheless. Every other time she had done that to a man she taken her hand back unscathed. Yet now, tiny shocks had run up her fingers and it took all she had had to finish the touches smoothly.

The river appeared a mere fifty feet in front of them when Luthien responded to her agreement. She furrowed her brows slightly at the end of the comment and was about to turn around to ask him what exactly he meant when she was swept off her feet, quite literally. She let out a small gasp of surprise as she wrapped her arms around his neck to keep from falling out of his. She looked down to make sure she actually was off the ground before she looked up at him and heard his reason behind his madness.

A small smile appeared on her lips. How courteous he was, though the gesture was not needed. She saw the wink he gave her and a small blush reached her cheeks before she could reply to his words. "It's really not necessary. I can walk there with no problem or incident. After all, the main mode of transportation for me is walking, and I have yet to damage the brushes with which I paint my canvas."

Luthien fought off a shiver of energy as hr arms wrapped around his neck, a sensation he most surely was not used to and grinned inwardly at seeing how his actions had affected the girl.

"On the contrary madmoiselle, in fact it is quite necessary. You would be doing me a great disservice in denying me my small show of chilvary."

He said with a grin as he turned and started carrying her along the riverbank in the direction of the lake it was supposed to flow into. Luthien could not help but stare down at the woman in his arms and watch how the rays of the moonlight played along her delicate skin, invigorating it with its own, nearly sepulchral glow.

"Though I have no doubt that you could walk this path side by side with far more elegance than I myself possess, I must confess I quite like the proximity that this current arrangement provides."

At this admonition, it was Luthien's turn to blush at the expression of his own feelings and the true reason for why he scooped her up so readily. With that one touch...it was as if a drug had been injected straight into his blood stream, he could not help but crave to touch or be near her in some way. Whether this connection be some product of the night and the energy or some aspect of her as a person he could not say.

His quick response made Celeste smile. "A chivalrous action, I will agree, it is. Thank you." She replied softly before she turned her head to look at the river they were walking beside. She had been to this river before, and knew the waters that flowed between the banks to be cool and refreshing on hot summer days. On nights such as this one, the water would seem chilly, yet very satisfying in the least.

Luthien made his second comment and it made Celeste turn her head down as she blushed softly again. How it was that this man could make her blush so easily was a mystery to her. It might have been the way he said things, or the manner in which he acted when he was around her. Then again, it could also be because he was just like her, born into something he had no choice with. Because of that she felt closer to him, but that couldn't have been it, could it?

With a small breath, she kept her eyes on the flowing water. "I understand, and I must say that I agree with you. About the closeness." Her voice was soft and somewhat shy, a very small smile dancing on her lips while her cheeks retained the pink hue they had since his comment was made.

Luthien smiled as she expressed her feelings towards the closeness they seemed to be sharing as well. He wasn't sure, but it felt as if after that small admission she relaxed a bit more and even settled into the little nook Luthien had created for her more deeply and comfortably. Though he tried to fight it, he felt himself give his precious bundle a slight squeeze next to him as his eyes drifted down to gaze upon her face once more.

"Well I am glad we are on the same page there. Here I was half afraid to sound a witless fool for wanting the closeness of someone he had not known for more than a few hours. I must admit though, it is a feeling that cannot be ignored or denied."

He smiled as his kind eyes looked traced over the smooth lines of her face. They walked on a while more, keeping somewhat in silence as they both revelled in just being where they were, the sounds of nature all around them, and the bask of the soft moonlight. Before he realized it, the mouth of the river opened somewhat and he could see the lake up ahead as the river widened and poured into its vast expanse. He continued carrying her up to the bank of the lake before setting her on her feet tenderly. As he set her feet on the ground and began standing up he slowly let his hands trail up the line of her body until he was at his full height once more. He slid his hands gingerly around her midsection and pulled her back against him as he looked out over the lake. He was not fully aware of how he was holding her, or that he was holding her period as he first looked out at the lake, a foresight he hoped was not costly.

"Now that...my fair lady...is only the third most beautiful sight I have seen on this magnificant evening. So peaceful..."

Luthien looked out uopn the still blackness that was spread before them as he held Celeste tenderly, his thoughts blank as his mind concentrated solely on taking in all that was around them. A soft, warm breeze graced the water with but a caress, sending small rolling ripples across the lake as the only disturbance to the perfect reflection of the starry, moonlit night that opened up above the two of them. The picture seemed to be from another world, one he was not entirely sure they were truly part of yet.

As he continued carrying her, Celeste had indeed relaxed in his arms, her head unconsciously resting against his chest as he walked. When she felt him squeeze her, she felt the smile that was dancing on her lips slightly widen. Feeling his eyes on her, Celeste turned her gaze up to his, looking up at him as he spoke. She saw his kind eyes and found herself looking away from them with a soft smile. Their trip was silent right up until the point when the lake came into view. She had only seen this sight once, and the first time she hadn't been paying very much attention to it. Now she could behold its wonders and glorious beauty without any interruptions.

She felt him set her down and as her feet touched the ground she closed her eyes and took in a breath, smiling. It was strange; she felt like she could see things better when her bare feet touched the soft rich dirt beneath her. Celeste was opening her eyes just as he ran his hand up her body. Eyes fluttering closed, she felt chills follow the trail his hand made. She opened her mouth and exhaled slowly before opening her eyes and gazing out across the lake again. Such new feelings, she didn't know what to do with it. When his hands slid around her body she took in a breath and held it for a minute, releasing it as he pulled her back against him. She closed her eyes as she tried to get used to how he was holding her. Such a new feeling.

His words made her eyes open before she turned her head and looked up at him. "The third? What, may I ask, were the first two?" She turned her head to look back out at the black waters. "For not much can beat the sight I see before us." She watched as the breeze made the still water move with it, and a lone leaf caught her eye as it was carried by the wind to dance across the glassy surface, barely kissing the waters as it moved further and further out to the middle of the lake. She smiled and unconsciously took a step forward, slightly pulling away from his grasp as she longed to be taken by the wind as the leaf had been, and to dance upon a smooth surface such as the lake.

Luthien grinned softly as she moved toward the lake and took in its sight and turned around and asked him the question he ws hoping she would. Luthien looked around at the glassy surface of the water and watched as the ripples moved along its surface. Specifically he paid attention to the leaf that was blown out onto the lake by the wind and noted how elegantly and perfectly it settled down to the surface...a sight that brought to mind another specific event that he had witnessed earlier that night.

"Well...the second most amazing thing that I saw tonight was the crystal clearing. That to me was breathtaking, the raw power and majesty of it was just so magnificent. Though now that I reflect upon it I might say it is tied with this sight for they are both awesome and glorious in their own rights though their glory shines on in very different ways. The beauty and serenity of this lake and how it brings full circle the moon, sky, stars, and ground all into a scene that memory could never do justice no matter how sharp whereas the crystals gleamed with their ethereal and almost supernatural aura, a power felt more than seen, a presence to be reckoned with.."

He trailed off as he watched the wind move across the water. He then turned his attention back to Celeste and smiled with a slight blush.

"Both, however, pale in comparison to the most beautiful sight I have seen this night of nights...and that fair lady, was the sight of your dancing so gracefully and purposefully amidst all the raw energy that seems to be thumming in the air. You moved not as a piece apart from the world but instead you were the melody to the chorus of energy and power that seems to permeate this night to the very depths of the earth itself, and oh what a gorgeous melody it was..."

Luthien looked deeply into Celeste's eyes as he said this, reaching into her heart and soul and offering his up for inspection. His walls were down this night...before her he stood a naked, scared, proud, intelligent, and compassionate man who once lost everything he ever cared about to a force he did not fully understand and could not control. He looked at her without any masks, no capes concealing his true nature. He stood there, in all his glory and misfortune...as himself.

Luthien's voice pierced through her calm mind as Celeste watched the leaf and the ripples in the water. She listened, but didn't turn to face him, for the scene before her had captivated her so. And though she wanted to turn and look at him as he spoke, to reassure him that she was indeed hearing everything he said, her head would not move, eyes drawn to the deep waters and the reflection the moon cast on the mirror's surface.

It wasn't until she felt his eyes on her that she turned her attention away from the milieu before them. She heard him speak of her dancing and her face turned a soft cerise, head tilting down as she timidly looked at the ground. It was not often that she let people watch her pour her soul out as she did with her dancing. And when the rare person did see it, never did they say such words about it. To say she moved as a piece of the surroundings...

Feeling his eyes penetrating her heart, she had to remember to take a breath. He stood before her with his soul open for her to see. He had complimented her so flagrantly that it seemed easy. It must have been truth he spoke, for no lie could be woven so delicately. She remembered earlier in the clearing of when he spoke of his past. Such a misfortunate past it was. But to come out like he did, and to be the person that stood before her and bore his soul to her, a complete stranger, meant he had come a long way.

"Those are kind words, Luthien." Celeste turned her head up and looked up at him with a smile. "To be a part of the beautiful song of the earth, more importantly the melody, is a great honor." She turned her head toward the waters of the lake again and took a step forward, her toes just touching the rich waters. "Perhaps I really am a child of the earth, as so many people call our kind. I'm wild and careless and free to do what I will without caring what the world has to say." She found herself smiling slightly. "And you, who have known me but for a few minutes, have told me that I am the gorgeous melody to the earth's chorus?" Celeste turned around and looked up at him with a soft smile. "You are not quick to judge people, are you Sir Hisvran?"

Luthien could not help but crack a smile as she asked him about his judgmental nature. Normally he would be quick to rebuke such a bold and untrue statement but this night he found himself devoid of any angry or unhappy impulses. He was not sure if the lack of harsh moods was due to the mythical nature of this evening or if this woman simply had a calming effect on his soul.

"I try my best not to judge period seeing as how I have had a brush with many different individuals or numerous backgrounds all of whom had their own flaws and strengths. And most especially tonight I infact think I am incapable of being judgemental and what I have said about your dancing and how you move so elegantly...that, I am afraid, is simply the fact at hand."

He smiled and chuckled a bit as he finished his statement before moving over to the edge of the water a respectable distance from where Celeste was standing. Luthien knelt down at the waters edge and ran his fingers lightly across the top of the waters surface and watched as the ripples from his fingers floated away and disipated into the distance. He was somewhat surprised to find that the water was chill but not cold or uncomfortable to the touch. He felt a certain pull inside his chest as he looked out across the smooth, watery surface, the lake was beckoning for him to enter with a calm and assuring pull. It was not an overbearing draw but simply a sort of thought or compulsion on the edge of his conscious mind.

"Well I do not believe we came here just to stare at the waters, beautiful though they may be."
Luthien said as he removed the last bits of his clothing and set them aside. He stretched momentarily and let the moonlight wash over his exposed body before he turned his gaze to the woman next to him. "Shall we then?" Luthien indicated with an innocent, kind smile as he began to make his way into the water, wading forward and letting his body gently adjust to its new environment.
