Basics
Name : Lianna Rizetti (Though she would preferably be called Lia) Age : 20 Actual Age : 293 Race : Vampire Gender : Female Blood-type : AB+ Height : 5’5’’ Weight : 124 pounds Appearance Hair : Dark blonde, trailing to her waist in curling tendrils Eyes : Grey-blue. Sometimes they look green in the right light Build : Slender with soft curves Tattoos/Marks : A long, thin scar across the back of her right hand as well as across the pad of her left thumb (both from a cat that traveled with the caravan that didn’t care for her much) Clothing : As she grew up with the belief that a proper woman wore skirts, Lia shies away from the pants of today. Instead she opts for things reminiscent of her human life: flowing, unrestrictive fabric, voluminous skirts, full bodied shirts, and the like. She isn’t fond of bright colors (they hurt her eyes). She is drawn to darker, dusky colors like burgundy, brown, blue, and black. Picture : In-Depth Personality : To many people Lianna would seem to be cold-hearted beneath her beautiful exterior. Shrewd. Outrageously intelligent. Nearly feared because nobody knows nor understands her. But in actuality, Lia is none of these things. It’s true that Lianna is quiet. Rather, she’s silent for the most part other than the times in which she divulges some complex answer in a classroom setting. Lia just never finds the opportunity (or the point) for expressing herself vocally as there are other, more effective ways of doing so in her opinion. Of course, her inherent shyness and fear of people has a lot to do with it. Stemming from a childhood in which she was forced to move from place to place, Lianna feels the need for stability in her life. She feels that she has to control each and every aspect of who she is: her emotions are tightly reigned in, her actions always planned and carefully examined before being followed through. She avoids unpredictable things—namely people—as they are perplexing and can only lead to confusion and pain. Rather than interacting with others she studies them, learning the intricacies of strangers despite the fact that they know little more than her name, if that. Though she tries not to express emotion for the most part, she does have a weakness when it comes to success. Lianna is an extremely competitive person. She enjoys winning and succeeding at things, and if there is ever an opportunity for her to excel in a particular area she can and will do so. This coupled with a thirst for knowledge and a very long life has made her an expert in a broad range of topics, anything that she could possibly be the best in. And if there is some question about her failing, then Lianna will walk away and never look back. Lianna tries desperately not to get into relationships, as she came to the realization that she was tainted at an early age and responsible for the death of her parents. The later death of her foster family confirmed this in her mind, and she keeps away from people because of it. But those that gradually become close to Lianna will find a fiercely protective, self-sacrificing woman intent on keeping them safe from everyone including herself. Lianna is extremely loyal to those few that she cares about and will do anything to see them happy even at the cost of her own happiness. Family/Pets : She was orphaned at a young age and was taken in by a passing band of gypsies. She grew up in the caravan, thinking of everybody as her aunts, uncles, and cousins. Unfortunately they were all murdered in their sleep by her future sire. Occupation : A scholar, as Lianna is addicted to knowledge and lives for the sole purpose of learning more Clan : Cappadocian Pathway : VIA HUMANITATIS (though I should note that this is doesn’t fit Lianna perfectly) Hobbies : Learning, observing others, chiromancy (aka palmistry), divination (through tarot cards), writing Likes : winning, learning about things, being the best, solitude Dislikes : stupidity, misunderstandings, people that won’t leave her alone, being fearful Interesting Quirk/s : she was taught in childhood how to tell the future through palms and card and famous for it over the course of her human life Strengths : Intelligent, intellectual, unbiased, not attached to anyone or anything Weaknesses : Fearful of many things, and nearly obsessive about her need for order and control Biography : Lianna never knew her true parents. She was orphaned at an early age due to a sickness that quickly and efficiently swept through every household of her tiny town in northern Italy. It was pure luck that saved her from death, and luck again that delivered her to her foster family. Incidentally, a gypsy caravan was passing through the city, taking whatever might be of use from the deserted homes when they heard Lia’s wail rising on the wind. A young mother who had recently lost her newborn baby immediately took to Lia, taking her in and caring for her as if she were her own. Her childhood was spent with the bright, colorful gypsies, traveling from city to city across Europe without stopping anywhere long enough to call it home. In her later childhood, Lia discovered that she had a knack for fortune telling and began to study the art of chiromancy and tarot, holding her own among the rest of her family who lived their lives by performing in the various cities and towns they came across. Even though she became a fundamental part of her family’s troop and she was always warmly accepted and loved, Lianna never truly felt like she belonged in the happy throng that laughter and activity followed wherever they went. On the eve of her twentieth birthday, after the festivities had died down and the fires dimmed, Lia’s sleep was interrupted by a sound at the edge of the caravan. She hoisted herself onto her elbows, peering out into the darkness for the source of the noise. Though she hadn’t seen anything, Lia was still suspicious and turned to the pallet beside her where her mother was sleeping. She shook her shoulder gently, then harder when there was no response. Worried, confused, Lia struck a light from her flint and stifled a scream upon sight of the mangled neck of her mother. Her terrified sobs alerted the predator who killed her family and he moved stealthily to finish her off. But the vampire was halted at her beauty and instead of killing her, he changed Lia into his eternal companion. Or so he thought. Her life was filled with different things after that. It was only the best for Lianna. She was allowed to receive high class education in a variety of things from the arts to sciences, history to mathematics. She was treated to the most luxurious of things: swathed in the finest fabrics, fed the richest delicacies available. Lia and her sire traveled farther than her little gypsy van had ever gone, across the seas and into the deepest regions of the continent. But besides these distractions, Lia was never given the opportunity to truly learn about being a vampire. And after one hundred and sixty years of life alongside her sire, Lianna still couldn’t look at him without seeing the once beautiful face of her mother disfigured by his own hands. She hated him, and wouldn’t hesitate to leave him if she only could. But her blood tie to him was strong, and Lia couldn’t go far without feeling its pull. One day her sire’s dark past caught up with him. They were attacked by a rival vampire faction, her sire killed swiftly without much of a fight. Lianna couldn’t say that felt remorse for his passing. She reveled momentarily in her newfound freedom before remembering that despite her impressive age she had no idea of how to live alone. The vampires (who were actually the first that Lianna had seen other than her own sire) took pity on her and told her of a school that was a haven for species of her kind. So Lia made her way to the Blood Grimm academy, intent on devouring the knowledge available and learning all she could about who she was. |
