First off, I would like to say that no offence to anybody is meant by this post whatsoever. I’ve just been meandering around the site lately, noticing a few things that I feel could do with updating. Not problems exactly, just things which would be a bit better. In some cases, though, they really do seem out of place. I’m not trying to tell anybody how to do their job, so feel free to ignore me completely. Just don’t have a go at me for expressing my opinion. It’s not a terrorist action. Yet.

Hokay, so, on to my list.

1. The board width. I know that it really isn’t a problem -- a lot of boards are the full screen width -- but it is really starting to bug me. I know this forum isn’t about me, but it might be bugging a few other people too, I just don’t know. But, if we’ve decided that we’re going to leave it as full width, we might want to find a way to get the info bar/box -- whatever you want to call it -- to be the same width. That way, it matches and the board looks much more neat and tidy. but bear in mind that the skin is not designed to be the full width of the screen.

2. Topics. I’ve noticed a few spammish ones about, and several ancient ones. The Announcements forum has, at times, seemed to become more of a chat forum than what it is -- a forum for the site administrators to keep members up-to-date on what is happening. I’ve seen one thread put up by a member -- a newbie, at that -- which has nothing to do with Blood Grim. For this, I would suggest deleting old announcements -- moving them to a “dead” forum, anyway -- and changing the permission masks so that members cannot start topics. Then just, whenever there’s an off-topic post, delete it. I know I’m guilty of putting off-topic posts in there, but I just had to say something.

3. Activity. There are heaps of members who have registered, and then never posted. Or, registered, posted once and left. Or registered, spammed, and left. There was one member running around a while ago who PMed as an advertisement but never posted anything. There are others that have not posted in months, or longer. I just think that it may be better to have fewer members in our member list and have them active more rather than have a lot of abandoned accounts.

That’s pretty much it. Less than I thought. Ah, well, let the denouncements begin. I’ll just go hide before you all start throwing rotten fruit and other such items of horribleness at me.

I do very much agree with you, but unless Seth decides to do something, then nothing can happen.

Yeah, good point. Ah, well. At least I said what I wanted to say. And the ideas are out there.
