Not really one for parks, that is the mysterious place that Seth could be found wandering around at this time. Clutching his side he winced at the large pain that he could feel in his side. Not only did his side hurt, but he was bleeding from a wound in his stomach as well as on his shoulder. Not a very good look for a vampire; too much blood loss and who knew what could happen. He dragged his feet and suddenly fell forward. He then lifted his head to look around at what was in front of him.
Tons of small children were playing in the playground in front of him. Two of them were swinging, one jumping off the swing to see how far he could land and the other mimicking the other child, jumping slightly farther and then laughing. A couple more were playing on the small jungle-gym. They were hanging upside down, climbing up the bars, looking for places to sit and seeing who could reach the top the fastest. Slightly more were playing near the slides. Some would go down single, yet others would try it out with two or more people. Soon they had a whole train going. Off at the other end was a small sand area, where kids were trying to make sand sculptures and such. One of them ended up making a tunnel that they could crawl through. Seth blinked and then the children were gone. The parents of the children had vanished, and now the park laid in rubble. Why was he all of a sudden seeing something that hadn't happened for over 200 years? Why was he seeing the children playing here, when children now would step no closer than ten feet? They were hallucinations. They had to have been. I-Its just from the loss of blood. Nothing more. It cant be anything more. He thought hastily. He had never fully accepted the fact that the vampire that sired him had indeed had some kind of power other than the normal ones. Seth groaned and sat up, sitting on his knees and clutching his side. He made his way over to a bench and propped himself up on it, using his one arm to pull himself up and lie across it. His breathing was unsteady and his fangs grew at the smell of his own blood. His eyes closed immediately when his back hit the seat of the bench. He had to find a food source. He had to drink something before he lost too much blood. He could feel the blood running out of the wounds on his stomach, shoulder, and side. They should have healed by now, but someone had been smart. Someone had put wolfsbane on the knife they used to harm him with. Nasty stuff, wolfsbane. Itll make sure a wound doesnt heal for a good couple of days. All Seth could do now was lie there and hope that the bleeding stopped enough for him to get up and search for food. -------------------- ![]() "Bite away at the skin, drink the blood, get stronger. The park was something she didn't remember.
Well, of course, she didn't remember anything from her childhood, nor anything of her preteen years. Murder had yet to take the innocent look from her inky black eyes, or the years take their toll on pale skin. Time was really funny in places like this. This park was old. It had probably been here for a good many years...Maybe it was as old as herself. She would ask why they had never rebuilt it, but after years of killing, she knew exactly why. The sand beneath her fingers was cold and full of energy. Energy like this only formed in a few select places. Chruches...hospitals...concentration camps...Places where the people had been very emotional or pained. Or many had been killed. Of one thing she was certain - innocent people, likely children, had died right where she was laying in the sandbox. Oh yes, Lu was positive about that. She dug her hand underneath the sand, traced designs along the top. Was there a child that had been doing exactly this when they died? The question could not be answered, but she was pretty sure she was not alone here. Not that the previous statement meant that she was being watched by ghosts of toddlers, of course. She literally was not alone anymore. Lu slowly sat up, like the Phantom rising from his coffin, and looked around before setting jet eyes on a bench. Cocking her head to the side in innocent curiousity, she furrowed her brows and stared intently at the stranger. -------------------- Whose is the face in the mask? --- Little Pet Shop of Horrors? The blood continued to pour out, leaking onto the bench beneath him as his breathing continued to get heavier and heavier. He could hear the laughter of the kids from centuries ago, the yelling of the parents. He could swear that he was able to feel the kids run past him, running to the sandbox. The weird thing was that it was only in that direction that he felt it. He opened his eyes and lifted his head to scan the area, to see if there was maybe a reason for the wind to be only blowing that way.
Seth's once crystal colored eyes now had changed and became a new color, a soft purple. They grew darker as they got closer to the pupil and seemed to blend until it became the blackest color one could see. He scanned the area until it landed on the one girl in the sandbox, watching him. He tried to sit up and then he fell back down, wincing as his back hit the bench seat, the wound in his shoulder and side hit with sharp pains. Blood dripped from the bench to the ground, forming a small puddle. With his eyes closed, Seth took deep breaths, sending a clear message from his mind to the girl's mind. "H-help.... me..." He didn't ever like to seem helpless, like he had to depend on others to get through. But this was one time that he really needed the assistance. So he hoped that he would get it, hoped that this girl, whoever she was, he would get help from. -------------------- ![]() "Bite away at the skin, drink the blood, get stronger. 'H-help....me.....'
Lu wasn't one for the whole schizophrenic thing. She would have almost said, however, that she was going crazy, had it not been for the scent of Vampiric blood on the wind, or the fact that the man on the bench was passing out, and fast. Telepath? 'Oh, great, that's just my fucking luck,' thought she, grimacing as she leapt from the sandbox. Before the man had any need to send another message to her, or even fall down, Lu was there, holding him up and taking the amethyst and ebony colored shrug from her shoulders and wrapping it around his waist tightly. Barely open black eyes looked up at her, however disoriented he looked. The Vampiress worried her lip before deciding (quickly, of course) that the man needed medical attention desperately. She took the arm of his injured side and put it around her, then put her arm around his waist and under his knees before lifting him up. Thank the Gods she was still fit enough for things like this! That, and Vampiric strength... "Um...mister, I'm going to need you to point me to the nearest medical facility, or else I'll need to take you to my place and stitch you up. Okay? Can you direct me to where I need to go?" Lunette's voice was awkward at first, but as the smell of blood didn't weaken, it became a little more desperate. If he couldn't answer, to her house it was, and she doubted that Dysis would be very happy with that, but she knew enough medical texts to stitch him up and help him... -------------------- Whose is the face in the mask? --- Little Pet Shop of Horrors? It just so happened that as the girl had come to his aide, the blood from his shoulder had stopped. The small puddle of blood beneath him had in fact gotten bigger, but now there was no longer anything else to plenty the supply on the ground. It was enough to get any vampire for miles flocking to the area. Or any creature with a taste for blood, that is.
He felt the girl lift him up and he rolled his head to lay against her. His eyes, that same soft purple, looked up at her and he grinned slightly. "I... I heard that..." He said softly, then his eyes closed and he passed out, his head lolling to the side and his whole body going completely limp. Seth's Dream: "W-What's happening?" He asked as he seemed to fall through a black hole, swirling purples and blues dancing around him. His back then collided with sand, and he could see three kids around him, all laughing and taking up sand in their hands and pouring it onto him. "Dad!" One of them said. "Dad, can we bury you?!" The same kid asked. A voice that was not his own chuckled and spoke in a deep, gruff voice. "Sure son. Go right ahead." The three children laughed and cheered and they all started pouring more sand on him. Seth moved his arm and it was immediately pushed down by sand as one of the other boys put more sand on top of him. -------------------- ![]() "Bite away at the skin, drink the blood, get stronger. Such an odd sight, this man with lavender eyes grinning up at her weakly, and then his black haired head rolling against her shoulder. Sighing softly, she looked at his wound, worrying her lip even more. Had all the blood in him drained out? No, no, he'd be some insanely wretched and shriveled corpse if so...
"I heard that," he had said, barely more than a whisper, before promptly passing out. This brought a muted smirk to her lips, before they pursed and she looked around. Any moment, creatures of bloodlust would appear, and then, of course, Lunette would be in a world of trouble. Better to get this taken care of now. Shifting his limp body slightly to get a better grip on him, the whites of Lu's eyes turned as ebony as the iris and pupils - with an explosion of black smoke but no sound or force to speak of, she disappeared promptly along with the man's body. <OoC> Does this call for a different board or no? I'm not sure where any residential areas would be in the town, or if there are any at all. =/ </OoC> -------------------- Whose is the face in the mask? --- Little Pet Shop of Horrors? (( we keep it here. no reason to make another topic when this one is just fine ))
It felt like an immense weight was being pushed down onto him as the children around him placed mounds and mounds of sand on him. His eyes closed and he took a deep breath, then once again spoke in the voice not his own. In a voice much deeper and commanding than his own. "Don't burry me too deep. And make sure not to put a lot of sand on my chest. I might not be able to breath then." The voice chuckled and then Seth opened his eyes to look up. The sky was a bright blue color, no clouds or anything in it to block out that rich blue color. In a flash a wave of reds and yellows washed over the sky, mixing and causing the colors to blend and slightly dance. Seth sat up quickly as soon as he heard the first scream. A gang of both lycans and vampires rushed in, the vampire's black hooded cloaks blowing behind them as the lycans ran after anything that moved. The vampires made their way around the park, throwing some people back as they rushed at the villans, then motioning to what was to be destroyed, sending the lycans to do the smashing and tearing and breaking. The vampires were the brains, the lycans were the strength. They waltzed through the park as if they owned it, breaking down anything they could, killing anything that made a noise or anything. They then got to the sand box where Seth sat and they stopped, looking down at him. He could see those cold eyes through the shadows of the hood. He could smell and almost taste the blood on their fangs. Seth gagged in disgust slightly. Killing for food was one thing. But killing for fun like this? That was going too far. The vampires looked down at him and then turned away, walking straight past him and to the little kids that had started to run away. They each grabbed a child and sank their long fangs into the large vein in their necks, sucking out every last drop of blood from the defenseless children. Seth watched in horror as the three children that he had been "playing" with were snatched up by lycans, all three to be torn to pieces. One of them was ripped in half, the snapping of his spine loud, the tearing of tissue and muscle very apparent. Another had his leg and arm ripped off and soon after his arm and leg were joined by a head. The last of the children had been sliced right down the middle, from the top of his head right down to his rectum. The body parts inside him were then torn out, parts of it lying on the ground by a tree and other parts across the whole park. His stomach layed in ruins by the boy's feet and right next to Seth sat the boy's heart. He winced slightly as he still saw it beat for a couple beats, then it stopped, seeming to collapse in front of him. Seth wanted to turn his head in disgust and just vomit up all he had eaten. Then again, it wasn't that much, and vomitting for a vampire wasn't really a good thing. You get blood in that vomit and that just wastes your energy. Seth instead watched as the lycans ripped out the rest of the boy. -------------------- ![]() "Bite away at the skin, drink the blood, get stronger. In the next moment, Lunette was inside a dark room, the walls made of stone, the floor and ceiling of reinforced concrete. The man in her arms was groaning in his sleep and shivering. She nearly leapt across the room and set him on a cold surgical steel table - the kind you would find in a hospital. Over the table was a bright light. In a corner there was a refridgerator. She strode towards it quickly, opening the door and grabbing a package of type O blood that was inside, then closed the door. There was a sink next to the fridge. She set the package of blood down and washing her hands quickly but thoroughly.
There was already a box of medical thread and needles on the counter. She gathered these, along with other supplies, and returned to the man on the table, who was still shaking, though the shuddering was growing more and more violent. She pushed up his shirt and removed the bloodied garment from his person, throwing it in an empty corner. Lunette set to work. Half an hour later, she had him hooked up to an IV of blood, his wound was cleaned and stitched, and she had finally had to strap him down to the steel table to keep him from falling down after his violent jerking about had caused him to nearly fall from the table. Lu sighed, sitting in a chair next to a wall, her feet propped up on another metal folding chair. There was a 3 inch thick door to her left that was open, leading up a concrete and stone staircase. There was a faint light at the head of the stairs. To Lunette's right, there was a large red fox sitting straight up on the floor. Both Vampiress and vixen stared at the unconscious man, watching for his awakening. |

Following the movements of the lycans and other vampires Seths eyes narrowed. He felt like he had to do something to stop all of this madness. The lycans were upon the small playground in the center of the park and they were ripping it to shreds. Scraps of metal were thrown everywhere, barely missing Seth as he ducked out of the way. The vampires had proceeded to wander around and kill whoever else they saw alive. Seth could feel his skin crawling with the sensation of death all around him. He stood up and looked down at the dead heart next to him. Covering his mouth to keep himself from vomiting, he walked forward, tearing his eyes from the scene of death around him to the lycans tearing up the playground. He could hear as metal scraped against metal, fangs and claws scraping up against the metal like nails against a chalkboard. It all made Seth wince, putting a hand over his overly-sensitive ear.
He stepped to the side, around a tree, and glanced back at the other vampires. They had finished killing their last victim and were taking turns licking the blood that ran from a wound on the womans neck. One of them turned his head and grinned at Seth, stepping forward. Seth looked up at him and removed his hand from his ear. He didnt know a lot about any type of fighting, but he did know a bit about self-defense. That would come in handy if and when the vampire advancing towards him decided to take offensive action. The vampire walked up to Seth and put his hand on the tree trunk behind him. Looking Seth in the eyes the vampire spit some blood onto Seths cheek. He grinned, showing perfectly white teeth painted with crimson blood. So, a vampire from the future has come to watch the show? He spoke harshly, blood slightly dripping down his chin. Seth swallowed. He didnt know what to say, how to react. He was from the future? Of course. This was the same park that he had been in when he collapsed, only this was before it had been destroyed. No, this was while it was being destroyed. This was the exact time that these murders and such happened. He was walking through the past. Seth looked up at the vampire in front of him, swallowing the words he was about to say as the vampire spoke again. Dont step into the past. It doesnt change for anyone. And dont mess up our fun. The vampire grabbed Seth by the throat and lifted him up before slamming his back into the tree. Seth awoke with a start, a searing pain in his back. He tried to sit up but was pulled back down by the large straps holding him to the table. Looking around Seth saw the IV in his arm and the blood machine that was pumping blood to his veins. He sighed and then laid still, looking up at the ceiling as he slowed his breathing, trying to figure out what exactly had happened and if he had in fact been sent to the past or was just dreaming. -------------------- ![]() "Bite away at the skin, drink the blood, get stronger. It had been a very long two hours. Usually, when on a job, she could tune out of the real world and, in turn, real time, just like a switch. She could keep her consciousness watching to make sure nothing unfavorable was happening so she could snap back into action should the time be right.
This was definately not one of those times. The fox had come and left several times, but Lu dared not move. The man on the table was still shivering every now and then, and after a couple of hours, he seemed to be calming down. And then he spoke, but not in a voice that was suited for his own body. Hells, his lips didn't even move, but Dysis seemed to hear it all the same as Lunette did. "Don't step into the past. It doesn't change for anyone." He was eerily quiet after that for five minutes. Lunette stood and stepped silently towards him, standing at the head of the table, looking down at his face. He briefly looked like he was in pain, and then he woke with a struggled leap into the air. The straps holding him down didn't budge, and thankfully, he didn't rip out the needles helping him to heal. He sure as Hell gave Lunette a start and she jumped backwards, out of his line of view. The Vampiric man looked around, calming his breath again. As soon as his breathing evened out, Lunette stepped towards his side, chewing her lip. "You passed out at the park...I didn't know where else to take you, so I brought you here, to my home." Lunette's hands immediately set to the work of undoing the straps holding him down, blushing slightly. "How rude of me...My name is Lunette. May I ask of yours?" Decidedly, it probably wouldn't be a great idea to bring up the projected sentences from his subconscious...if that was even what projected them in the first place. |

His eyes had been closed when she walked up to him and as soon as he heard the sound of feet against the floor he opened them back up, turning his head and looking over at the Vampiress. She spoke in somewhat of a nervous manner and Seth couldnt help the small smile that passed over his lips. Its fine. His voice came out slightly groggily. He cleared his throat before speaking the same sentence one more time, this time his voice clear and soft.
As she finished with the first couple of straps he sat up, rubbing his chest where the straps had been. When he woke up and jerked up he had tightened it against his chest and that wasnt the most pleasant feeling in the world. He could still feel that stab of slight shock from the straps. She finished with the straps and Seth swung his feet over the side, the needle supplying his blood still connected to his arm. Having that Vampiric speed helped him move his arm quick enough so that the needle stayed in. He looked around the room and then looked back at the woman. She had just called herself Lunette. He bowed his head and then looked back at her, his once deep-purple eyes were now a crystal blue color. Ask and you shall receive. My name is Seth. He then looked at the bag of blood and back at Lunette. Thank you for taking me here and stitching me up. I am very grateful. -------------------- ![]() "Bite away at the skin, drink the blood, get stronger. Feel the numbness take over but don't worry, it won't hurt for much longer." Lunette cast ebony eyes downwards. "It's nothing, really...Some of us still have morals, you know." She laughed, a little darkly, a little humourlessly. "Even in these times and places." The Vampiress rubbed the back of her head with her right palm, smoothing down the bright pink locks. "It's not like I could really leave someone out there, drained and all.
"Which, speaking of, what in the Seven Hells did you get stabbed with?" She rose a single eyebrow. "And when? It seemed as if someone took a bloody shotgun to your arm at close range, and it happened a couple days ago without healing up. Coulda been pretty rough had someone not been there." Lu nearly went on to ask about the voice and what he had...um, 'spoken'...but stopped herself just in time. No need to overly concern herself. |

(( Sorry for the LOOOOOOONG wait sweetie... got caught up in a whole bunch of crap with friends and family and it was this biiig ordeal... But now I have time in Computer class to write and I thought I'd do yours first. <3 Don't you feel special? ^^ ))
A soft smile appeared on his lips as he nodded his head to her once again. "I am still in your debt however. You save my life, and now I am in debt to save yours whenever needed." He spoke his words clearly, making that silent vow of the vampires that only those who have heard of it would catch. He closed his eyes momentarily before opening them once again. As she spoke the questions, his head swam with just as many. He couldn't think of what to say, nor what to do at this point. All his thoughts were on that dream, or that vision or whatever it had been. As he tried to recall what had happened before, he could see the bright flash of a light and then he turned his head to look at the girl. "I was stabbed with a dagger carrying wolfsbane on its blade. I'm sure you have heard of wolfsbane and know of its effects." He paused for a moment and then decided, just to be on the safe side, that he would answer anyway. "Wolfsbane is a sort of poison for us. While we have healing powers, the wolfsbane cancels it and prevents any healing from happening. It just so happened that whoever it was that stabbed me knew what he was up against. "As to when I was stabbed, I couldn't tell you exactly. All I remember is a bright lightly and then two people on either side of me, holding my arms as another in front of me gripped my side and dug their nails into my flesh, then tore at my stomach with a knife. I tried to get away and then he slashed my arm before they all vanished. No gun used. Just the old-fashioned stuff." Seth let out a slight groan as he fought to stand, gripping the stitched wound in his stomach as he felt the threat tear at the skin. Thinking better of himself he sat back down before looking back up at her. "Now it's my turn. What were you doing in such a morbid place? Last I heard no one went around there for fear of history repeating itself." -------------------- ![]() "Bite away at the skin, drink the blood, get stronger. [XD That's quite alright, I've had to wait longer for-...no, wait, that's the longest. *cough* I hadn't checked the site in a couple of days, but since you won't be back til the new year, I'll go ahead and post now....]
Deciding not to speak of the debt, Lunette grimaced, slightly horrified. "Yes...I know about wolfsbane. Never been poisoned, nor have I seen a lesion with wolfsbane in it." She chuckled to herself, "Of course I've heard of wolfsbane...what kind of person with their own operating room wouldn't have?" She took a band from around her wrist and tied back her curly magenta locks, then rose an eyebrow at Seth again as he mentioned history repeating. "Ah, well, I wouldn't really know about this history you're speaking of. Not quite from around these parts. I got a bad vibe there, sure, but I figured that might just be because there happened to be a man on a bench bleeding out." She smirked, if only slightly, then her expression sobered. Lu's right hand combed through her restrained curls nervously. She didn't mention her powers and the fact that she knew there was a slaughter there, hoping for information. Besides...he probably knew that she could teleport, what with the telepathy he seemed to possess. 'That or mild psychosis...' "I...ah...while you were unconscious, you...projected...a sentence or two about the past. That it doesn't change...for anyone. The thing is, it wasn't your voice, as I now know...deeper, harsher, bit more brutal." She turned her head away from him, thinking, and then turned back, expression once again questioning. |
