Sunny Day, AW {+ Anubis}

It was a warm summers day. The sun was high in the sky, casting shadows across the ground, long, melancholy shadows with spindly fingers like spiders' legs. It wasn't an uncomfortable hot day, there was a crisp breeze in the air, making the leaves on the trees rustle and sway. The blades of grass swayed and rippled with the wind. Back and forth. back and forth. Clouds drifted across the sky lazily, like they had no energy to move, just goign where the wind took them.

That was how Bumble felt right now. She lay in the grass, one paw lay across the other. Her black and gold coat rippled with the grass, her neck arched in an 's' shape, her muzzle pointed towards the ground. Her eyes were closed, but this sleeping beauty was not asleep. As she yawned, her pink tounge rolled out and her lips curled back to reveal shining white fangs.

Her eyes opened. What golden eyes. Flecked witht he most finest of silver. Those were not eyes you wished to meet in the middle of the night. Bumble Bee looked at her golden claws absently. She was normally so full of energy, but she just felt like lazing about today. Going where the wind took her. And she had ended up here.

She could smell the faint smell of anotehr wolf, the alpha, but she didn't care. Stuff them and their rules. Bumble stood up and stretched. Her lean figure rippling with hidden strength in those long limbs. As she stood, it was clear why she had been named Bumble Bee. Her coat was a lush sea of black and gold. She had stripes going all the way down her spine, gold tipped ears, three golden rings around her four legs. Even her claws were gold in colour, but they weren't mae of gold, just a mis-colouring. Even so, she did look majestic, albeit a little bored, as she walked slowly through the grass.

Anubis lay sunning on a large rock in the meadow. The breeze blew through his fur, carrying with it the scent of another wolf – a female. He stood, producing a long shadow as he looked over the lands that he called his own. His amber colored eyes caught the sight of the black and gold fae as she stood in the meadow grass. The sun played off of her in much the same way as it did over his own black, red and white peltage. The wind changed course, blowing his scent across the area towards her.

Bumble sighed and lay down, rolling onto her back. Her paws tucked up into ehr chest as she sunned her stomach. It was such a pleasant day. She could keep warm with the sun but the wind managed to keep her cool, not letting her get too hot. As the wind blew into her face, she caught a scent. She sat up and looked about. She smelt a male wolf. He smelt dominant, was he the alpha of these lands? Probably, she had come to these lands in a daze, off in her own little world so she hadn't noticed any scent markings.

As she looked around she spotted him. A finely built he-wolf with a mixture of colours in his coat. White and red. She c.ocked ehr head to the side as she watched him with ehr own stunning golden eyes, wandering what to do since he was simply standing and watching her. She huffed and puffed out her chest. She walked over to him in long, confident strides and stopped in front of him. She gave a charming smile and her voice was like honey, but it was bold and cunning at the same time. "Hail, M'Lord. You must be the Alpha of these lands. My name is Bumble Bee, I hope I'm not intruding." her head c.ocked to the side, one ear up the otehr down in a curious manner.

"Hail, M'Lord. You must be the Alpha of these lands. My name is Bumble Bee, I hope I'm not intruding." Anubis leapt down from his rocky perch. ”Not at all, Bumble Bee was it? As you have stated, I am indeed the alpha of these lands,” he said as he approached the ebony fae. He looked her over with golden hazel eyes. ”So what brings you to the Arcanian packlands?” The Arcanian wolves were a strong pack to be reckoned with…even if Anubis was there only member for now. But he wouldn’t accept weak, useless imbeciles into his pack either. He wasn’t that desperate.

[COLOR=gold]Bumble sat down and nodded, her strong, yet still femenine frame relaxed and her golden eyes looked up at him as he jumped down. She chuckled and winked at him. "You can call me Bumble. Bumble Bee is too... formal." She said with a bark. She smirked. So he was indeed the alpha of these lands she smiled and her tail swished from side to side in the grass. "Alpha eh? You must be very strong to lead a pack and full of wisdom too. I hope it all goes well for you." She looked at him and shrugged in a bored fashion. Why was she here? She snorted. "Just exploring really M'Lord. I am a rogue. I prefer being free to being cooped up all the time." She stood and yawned, showing rows of needle sharp teeth. She sat down again and smiled. "But I might reconsider. It's kinda lonely bein' a rogue and all. I was hoping I might find a home."[/COLOR]

"Very well then, Bumble," Anubis said as he eyed the fae. She was beautiful and strong. He could tell that by looking at her. "So you're a rouge? Even a rogue needs a home now and then. What might make you "reconsider" your stay in these lands?" Depending upon her answer, he would either accept or deny her acceptance into the pack.

Bumble chuckled. She liked him. He looked strong and capable. She smirked. "Beleive me M'Lord, I would not let any alpha rule over me. My alpha would have to be strong and wise. I might 'reconsider' because you look to be a strong alpha and god at what you do. I need a strong pack, not a feeble one. I might be of some use to you. I can fight if you need my strength, I would also lend you any wisdom of mine if you need it." She didn't think she needed to explain anymore. She thought h was wise enough to accept her. Wolves were hard to come by these days. She hadn't seen many around. Her golden eyes glittered as she watched him, her black and gold fur swaying in the gentle breeze.

"Boy, she sounds like she's contradicting herself," Anubis thought as he listened to the female. He needed all the members he could get if he was to keep hold of these lands. "I treat my members as equals to myself, Bumble. I value strength and wisdom as much as you, I'm sure," he said in a cool tone. The ebon fae before him seemed an excellent addition to the pack. "I shall leave it up to you if you would like to stay, but in my eyes you are perfectly welcome in the pack."

Bumble beamed and shifted in her seat. her head held high as she gazed at him. "Then stay I shall. I shall do my best to serve you and this pack. but I am curious, but I will kick up no fuss. What rank do you wish me to be and what do you wish me to do first?" She blinked ehr big golden eyes at him, a happy smile graced her ebony muzzle.

"Hmmm," Anubis thought for a minute. She didn't want to be ruled by an alpha, yet wanted to be a member. And she seemed to like him a bit, and he liked her a little already. Then he had the perfect idea.

"What would you say if I asked you to rule the pack at my side?"

Bumble was speachless and seemed to shift a little. Er.. what? She thought for a moment, mulling it over in her head. The two alpha's didn't have to be mates and she blushed at that thought. They had only just met. Still, Anubis seemed like a nice guy, if a little tight. Maybe he would loosen up a little after everything had settled down and more members joined. She looked into Anubis's eyes just to see if there was any funny business. She smiled when she found none and nodded her black and gold head. "You're a good thinker. Not wanting to be ruled but wanting to be a member anyway. You really are a great Leader Anubis. I would love to rule by your side." She gave a childish grin, her tail swishing from side to side. She stood up, her bottom up in the air as her front legs and head resting on the ground in a playful manner. "So how's the pack running? I'm gonna need to know what's going on. First lets have something to eat to... celebrate." She said casually. She trotted pat him, her side gently rubbing against his as she looked around for food, sticking her nose up in the air.

"You're a good thinker. Not wanting to be ruled but wanting to be a member anyway. You really are a great Leader Anubis. I would love to rule by your side." "I am pleased to hear that, Bumble. Torrn, the pack's betan, or one of the warriors, Dante or Dominic, should be around on patrol somewhere nearby. If so, we can organize a hunt to celebrate."

"Sure." She said happily. "I'd like to meet some of the pack members. Where are they?" She looked around as if she expected them to pop out of the ground in front of her. She turned back around and smiled kindly.

Anubis chuckled a bit at her actions. "Torrn is around somewhere, but if I'm not mistaken, Dante and Dominic are watching the dens." The wariors had to have returned to th dens by now. They were normally only charged with fighting intruders off.

Bumble nodded and took one more glance around before returning her gaze to her alpha. This would be fun! This would be her pack as well as his, and it would be the best pack, the strongest pack. She smiled at the thought. "Well I'm sure they're doing a good job about it. I would be interested to see the Beta though, Torrn. I think it best for me to know all members before I do anything yet."
