Title: Question about AC list
Description: composition rules

In the Chapter Approved AC list it states that for each command tank or ace tank you may take 0-2 tanks as troop choices.
In the heavy support section it allows you to choose tanks but doesn't mention any such restriction other than conforming to the usual 3 slots for heavy support in the FOC.

Now, in the Heavy Armour organisational doctrine it says that by disallowing the normal fast attack options you may choose tanks "as fast attack or heavy support choices" but "They are still limited to 0-2 per Command Tank or Tank Ace".

Does this mean that when using heavy armour doctrine the tanks you choose as fast attack need to have command or ace just like troops but the normal heavy support doesn't need the ace? Or does heavy support always need the ace?

I'm just looking at the theoretical maximum number of Russes allowed in the Chapter Approved List for a single detachment.

If you take both HQ slots and all three elite slots as Aces then that would allow up to 10 additional tanks, of which 6 would be troops, another 3 would be fast attack under the Heavy Armour doctrine. Then the heavy support section depends on the interpretation of the list and whether there has to be an ace in the section in which case there would only be one tank left after troops and fast attack are filled, giving a total of...16 Russes. If there is no restriction in heavy support then that would be 18.

Any thoughts on that rule interpretation?

Edit: Just tried making an AC list on Army Builder and when the heavy armour doctrine is used it wants all troop options to specify if they're heavy or fast...I think it's a glitch, but just wanted to confirm, heavy armour doctrine allows normal tank troop options and also tanks as fast attack and heavy support?

Thanks...
