Hello all. Just wanted to say hello and share my GF's halloween costume I made for her. It took about 3 weeks to make and I learned a lot and spent alot...

It's more of a work in progress as I have a lot of upgrading to do and I still have to finish the working chainsword I started on.
Hope to have it finished by NYC comic con 2010.

Anyway, here are some pics.

Hmm.. Nerf gun? Is that what you used for that pistol? It looks pretty righteous.

Yes, it's the Clip Tek from air zone.

I have had it sitting around for a while. Always thought it looked like a bolter. It is one of the items to be upgraded, but it dose shoot darts and when you cock the gun for the next shot it spits out a shell and thats f*cking cool armata_PDT_34.gif

Dude. Dude. Duuuuude.

Get in touch with the Kommisar guy. Or find his thread, whatever. You, guys, should make some friendly group sessions. I envy you, seriously.

Very cool.

Nice use of the nurf sword, also.

I'm curious as to how you made/shaped the breastplate. I've been wanting to do something like this for a friend.

I used one like this
http://www.manne-king.com/dspskudetail.cfm...190&Sku=LHR35/B

and shapped it with a heat gun after cutting it to shape

yeah, Finn has seen my work, and we've been discussing differences in design on another forum,
i'm personally thrilled there's another person making SoB armor.
and particularly impressed with the creativity on the breastplate he made, though it has some slipping issues? rigging it like a bra might help perhaps..

It dosen't slip once the corset is on.The problem was the corset was put on to low. someone else at her work helped her put it back on and set it to low.

downside of that collar is she can't see, so she didn't know it was to low.

If set properly it dosen't move at all.

We'er ganna take some new pic's this weekend and show more of the construction of it.

Well, decided to work a bit on the Bolt pistol as the chainsword is still being a pain the arse.

Still needs some fine tuning, but I'm liking the way it's going so far...

I want to beef up the back of the clip, looks wrong being that thin...

I have also started a quick "mock up" of a bolter based off the same base gun as the pistol. Just wanted to see how it would shape up..I think it's interesting.. I think it will become a Chaos bolter for an upcoming costume...
I need to beef up that clip as well. Also it's hard to see, but there is a scope/site at the back end of the gun
