I saw the main rules for RPGs, and it said it was OK to do without permission.

OK, Fenik 9 is basically a snow planet, where the 606th Infantry Regiment , 306th Tank Regiment, 701st Artillery Regiment, 301st Stormtroopers and the 409th Aircraft Support Regiment have been ordered to attack a suspicious Ork outpost, that now seems to be thriving. Here is your character sheet:

Name:
Regiment:
Rank: (no higher then Lieutenant, Commanders will be picked later.)
Job: (artillery gunner, tank driver, grenader launcherer, etc.)
History:
Wargear:
(Have made lots of postions avalible, if you want another regiment included, just ask.
Will have a max. of 2 Lt's and 14 people left in all, so don't delay!)

My profile:

Name: Andy Jackson
Regiment: 606th Infantry Regiment
Rank: Sergeant
Job: Imperial Guard Sergeant (thought good enough to lead with-out Commissar support)
History: Andy Jackson first hanged around the shifty areas of Hive cities, and was for a number of years belived to be smuggling. At 16, he joined the 606th, and was put to the test as a normal guardsman, and after surviving an impressive two years, he was decided good enough to lead as a Sergeant. He likes to have an informal unit.
Wargear: Flak Armour, Laspistol, Chainsword , Frag and Krak grenades.

Looks good, but normally when you're looking for players you put this in the sign-up area. Don't worry though I'm sure Sigma or Izaak will come along and move it to where it properly needs to be Salute2a.gif .

Good Luck.

Moved. More information is helpful for prospective players. In addition, a general idea of how the game will work and a purpose. Learning from Hammers, there was no purpose, no story and that made me lose interest in it quicker than EE. Is it rules based or narrative based or a hybrid?

You've not done anything wrong, per se. Just not very much done. And what's the difference between a suspicious Ork outpost and an Ork outpost? Does one have suspicious Orks while the other has normal Orks? Orks are Orks to IG, you kill them. Suspicious or normal.

Firenze, I will be happy to drop you out of a Vulture ... with all your necessary infantry gear at 10,000 feet. Good luck landing though since my definition of drop trooper just drops (i.e. gravity does ALL the work and you dont pull any parachutes).

And thats why I never leave home without my trusty 'ACME Grav Chute.'

Suspicious is another way of saying "unconfirmed" and "probable illegal activites"
So, anyone want to sign- up? I'l post almost every day, and will be as good a games master as I can be. Will write background story on Thursday, hopefully one or two people will have signed up by then.

-MESSAGE BEGINS-
To: Colonel-Commissar Dercius , Flagship Valiant
From:Colonel Dorden, Fenik 9

Greetings Colonel-Commissar,
The intial mission preperations have been a success, with almost 75% landing in the specified landing zone. 15% , including twenty squads of men and two Valkyries, landed just 35 kilometeres from the landing zone. Only 10% are missing as of yet.
We have sent three squads of men and a Valkyrie to scout out the area.

-MESSAGE ENDS-

-CLASSIFIED MISSION REPORT-
Any officers not authorised to read this mission report will be given a court martial.
Officers with authorisation:
Colonel-Commissar Dercius
Colonel Dorden
Colonel Mercius
Commissar Blenner

Greetings,
This mission is classified, as there is content that is not for prying eyes.
anyhow, the reason we are invading this god-foresaken wasteland is that we have reports that Ork Warboss Ghazgull Thraka has been able to make such ingenious war machines using a mass-producing facility on Fenik 9, and that, because of the planets scarce resources, to armies with no intel the planet would be considered useless. These reports were gained from a Guardsman, who managed to escape from a Ork outpost, saying that Armageddon was getting daily shipments of cargo, and he said that on one shipment he saw a Trukk and Battlewagon. Because of the planet's location, it is easy to belive the Guardsman's report. We have sent a small expedtionary force, but should reports to be true, they shall be re-inforced with the 506th Drop Troops and 301st Demolisher Regiment.
Any officer leaking this information faces court martial, with a mininum 10 years military imprisionment.

Signed,
Colonel-Commissar Dercius- Commander of Operations
Colonel Dorden -Commander-in-Chief
Colonel Mercius-Second-in-Command
Commissar Blenner- Schola Progenium Representitive

The Game will be a story-based game, a player will write what they are doing and the movements within their regiment. There will be a max of 3 people to a regiment.
To answer Sigma's questions armata_PDT_01.gif
I hope this background story makes people sign up.
Any questions just ask armata_PDT_01.gif
