The chimera is almost tall enough to stand up in already. I think the trick would be to either do away with the lasgun banks and add extra antennae or model the ramp open with bench seats down the middle and computers on both walls.

Also, I found a few pictures of the old beast. It was called an M-577 and was a variant of the M-113 APC. You can see how they raised the back end. The heavy canvas attached to the top of the back end is not a tarp but a fold-out tent that is attached to the vehicle. Add the poles for the frame and it would more than double the "floor space" of the track. Our TOC used to back three of these together and set up the tents to that they were connected in a big T shape.
