Now to play the Devil's advocate:

Seeing as this is a "Camouflage Painting" competition rather than a "Who can produce the prettiest model" competition, I will be inclined into voting for the entry which displays, IMO, the best painted camouflage; as oppose to the best conversions. With that being said, some entries which place amongst my favourites includes Crixus07's, HolyTerra'a and r0xAs' (although r0xas, I demand better close-ups armata_PDT_18.gif).

I'm actually impressed to see many of the newbies giving the older boot campers a run for their money. "The young take down the old". It's quite comforting to see that the laws of nature apply to internet forums as well. armata_PDT_14.gif

Once again everyone, great work! You all do Boot Camp proud! Salute2a.gif

Good luck to everyone and you should all be proud of your submissions!

Some of these are SO good. You guys obviously have a lot more dedication to good looking camouflage than I do. Job well done to all of the entries. Salute2a.gif

Didn't manage to get my own entry up in time due to some RL restrictions but at least I placed my vote now.

Congrats to all participants, you have done some great work here and I hope I would be allowed to borrow an idea or two (like those gilly suits done by ashotninja armata_PDT_01.gif).

As the official corporate sponsor (BUY MORE STUFF!) I wanted to chime in with some feedback on the entries - and congratulate everyone on a good showing.

Izaak. -- This is probably the most creative use of one of our Blasted Wetlands base and I approve. The composition is great and the model works well -- but you need some camo, baby!

Pax -- I really like the addition of actual foliage to the suit. Nice touch!

Captain Mike -- a subtle touch making the face paint differ from the body armor camo. Well done!

r0xAs -- A pain to paint tiny camo and you pulled it off nicely. The foliage doesn't quite work but it's a good addition all the same.

Major Speirs -- The vehicle is great and I like the little touches. The camo scheme is a bit muddied though. It looks like the wash/drybrush also goes down with gravity instead of back with the airstream which would make a big visual difference.

commissarsmith -- This will look great on a squad -- but pay attention to keeping the dots more random. In the second photo the guy on a right has several in a row.

ashotninja -- Beautifully done! I think they would benefit from a light pigment dusting... but I might be biased armata_PDT_18.gif

Crixus07 -- Another well done piece. The photos are a bit bleached so it's hard to tell how the filter worked with the camo scheme. Well executed regardless.

TheWeasel -- Sharp, crisp, and happy making. I see streaks with the airstream too making it a winner. A bit of a dusting filter would help smooth the transitions on the camo though.

Tibbsy -- unfortunately the photos make it difficult to comment armata_PDT_16.gif

MadBob -- great models but I'm not sold on night world camo armata_PDT_28.gif

HolyTerra -- need closer pics -- looks good from afar but....

Great entries -- and I'm sure that Izaak will be in touch so I can get the gift voucher out to the winner. WOO HOO!

Eh, I was going to enter a Kroot Shaper but I muffed up the paintjob badly. Trying to copy the feather pattern of an actual bird was even harder than I expected. Ah, well.

Wasn't quite the plan... but thank you anyway.

Great entries from everyone

@Izaak. Wonderful model, only the camo is bit minimal...

@Pax. Liking it, especially the detail to the face.

@Captain Mike. WOW AMAZING SCHEME THERE MAN... oh wait :3

@rOxAs. Interesting scheme... Nicely painted too.

@Major Spiers. I think one of my favourites. Very nicely executed and great looking.

@commissarsmith. Nice retro scheme.

@Ashotninja. Very nice sculpts, and it works as a colour scheme, but from a painting look it looks quite simple. I'm sorry if I'm wrong about that armata_PDT_14.gif

@Crixus07. Just amazing. Painting, camo, whole feel of the model.

@TheWeasel. nicely done, reminds of WWII paint schemes.

@Tibbsy. Nice rock hair style. Scheme looks a bit like predator bled all over him but still a good looking model.

@MadBob. Great painting but camo wise... it's kind of just black...

@HolyTerra. Again pretty classic and I like it!

@Alleton. Reminds me of old toy soldiers.

Yeah, unfortunately it is possible that this mini will never again see the camera, as my 15 month old daughter got ahold of it. I have yet to find it and may have to list it as KIA.....
