Awesome as ususal.
Is that plasticard? How'd you get the internal circular bits so rounded?

Thanks.
It's plasticard. 1mm with a layer of 0.4mm, then a layer of 0.6mm. *Shrug* practice, I guess. I drew them freehand and cut out the internal space with a utility knife. Cleaned it all up with the exacto blade. The top layer of round parts were cut out of 0.6mm with hole punches, including the rivets.
The tan drive gear is something I conjured up during the valdor project and cast. Fits the medium drive wheel from the old GW tank kits. I have a couple of dozen of the wheels left. I'm going to be in trouble when I run out. Guess I'll have to start making my own wheels then. Sigh. Grey parts are GW wheels, of course.

Very extraordinary project and I love it so far. And seeing how (unfortunately) the guard doesn't have any light artillery pieces (which is Not ranged artillery i mean) I'll surely watch your progress (and probably will make myself one or 2 of these babies ) Ps: oh, oh I know, make them remote controlled! | QUOTE (Sgt.Carmine @ Feb 8 2012, 06:48 PM) | So Tebrey, I'm curious. Do they bottle what makes you an absolute plasti-card making machine or is it safe to assume that your a scratch-building cyborg set from the future with goal of awe-striking forums?
To be honest your experience never ceases to amaze me. Great work so far. Although I am curious where you got those measurements [if any] for your build or rather did you just eye it? |
Not from the future... no. Thank you. I just keep building. The skill comes with making stuff. I have my off days. I've bombed a few projects too. Shrug. I just eyeball the measurements from the FW pics. They are usually kind enough to include a fugure for scale. -------------------- Bit more work done tonight. I still need to built the rear control panel and model the crewman. Getting close, though.
