I feel a disturbance in the Warp, as if a million wallets and bank accounts suddenly cried out in agony and were suddenly silenced

Otherwise, I'm looking forward to seeing what they come up with (maybe some of the alien races from the Great Crusade)

Thousand Sons and Raven Guard are the legions that interest me.

While HH era is an awesome time in Warhammer it is too shiny and golden age like for an ireducible grimdark fan such as me. I would certianly get the FW books for the fluff aspect but the models are at this moment beyond my budget. I am way more interested in IG units than just space marines squads in Mark 2 and 3 power armour. Still I am very curious about the terminators and the primarch rules.

I have three armies to build an play and I prefer to invest time in my hobby rather than money. FW is great and all but first their prices are prohibitive, second their armies are a no no in my gameclub, so apart from a collectors point of view FW has little to offer me apart their books.

awesome fellblade

seems quite usable for a guard army that wants a high tech look.

That's it, isn't it? I'm going to have to do the Emperor's Children now. Bloody Forgeworld, I never stood a chance.

Martian Civil War, I need knight households and Legio Cybernetica, not to mention skitarii.

I doubt it will happen though, Astartes will be their main focus.

They did say at Gamesday Australia that they want to do mechanicum as one of the next IA books, they just had to work through the Horus Heresy launch models first.

so patience might reward you greatly

I won't lie, I don't really get the whole Horus Heresy is awesome thing but those models are pretty damned cool. I love the autocannon arm.

It's 'cause the Heresy as such isn't all that awesome, it's mostly mobs of Astartes bashing each other the most idiotic way available (seriously, Astarte commanders, including primarchs, make the american Civil War look like a pinnacle of battlefield tactics).
Tbh I find Badab War much more interesting period, as organisations other than Astartes play much bigger role there.

However some of the oldstyle models, like the Cataphracti (which allegedly makes it impossible to stand up for a Terminator that had the misfortune to fall down - see Primarchs, second story) Maximus or Heresy armour simply look cool. Plus some of the stories are very neat read.

Personally I'd love it if they produced these guys

http://wh40k.lexicanum.com/wiki/Geno_Five-Two_Chiliad

Love this book, best of the series in my opinion. By the by, am I the only one who feels the urge to re-read the HH series again? I thought the first books up to Descent of Angels were a mix of great to quite good. As for Descent of Angels; well less said the better armata_PDT_04.gif
