Well the thing with demons is some people of christain nature might not appeal to demons or such, but dragons are a power symbol in history and in the planes. If there is something you are searching for then that is the kind you are going to trying to summon.

But...never have I said that someone has to partake in a summoning ritual, if you do not appeal to the whole dragon thing then don't do it, you can do whatever you want.

Dragons are specifically charged with the maintainance of Occult virtues within all objects. The weeping willow has the virtue of sadness that the magician or alchemist can utilize. It's the job of the dragons to record these and limit their use. You need something like that? Summon a dragon.

Well all objects have various virtues given to them by the "Creator" or "First". For sake of conversation I'm not going to go into what God is and such.
When viewed Clairvoyantly one can see rays travelling from this object to the divine. It is the job of the dragons to know which object contains what virtues and to stop people from taking them when they're not ready or deserving.
