I wrote a BHer guide for the guys at Cannonball Crew, I'll put it here as well.

There are a few guides to Bounty Hunting around UD forums.

I am going to write a easy to follow guide here and try to make it simple.

First there are many tools out there to help you on your way. In the other guides they recomend the UD Tool, I however use the UD Widget because the Tool has it's issues.

First you want to use Firefox. Most UD Firefox Extentions use Firefox 2. There have been some made to work with 3 http://wiki.urbandead.com/index.php/FF3extensions , but I have stuck with 2.

You can find Firefox downloads here - http://www.oldapps.com/firefox.php

You can find UD Firefox extentions here - http://wiki.urbandead.com/index.php/UdWidg...efox_Extensions

The extentions I recomend is
UD Toolbar - http://wiki.urbandead.com/index.php/Udtoolbar
The UDWidget - http://maps.urbandead.info/udwidget/
GreaseMonkey - http://greasemonkey.mozdev.org/
ActOnProfile - http://www.urbandead.info/seb_wiers/ActOnProfile.user.js ActOnProfile puts a set of links at the top of profile pages that allow you to perform actions related to that profile. Actions include various (but not all) attacks, with the URL constructed in such a way that you can use the f5 button to make another attack of the same kind. You can also open links to Iwitness records showing that profile and to the Rouges Gallery record for that profile (if any).

Now you want to go here http://www.ud-malton.info/Rogues_Gallery and click on the UD Tool List button. This will create a List of every one who has a Bounty to stand out in Red. go to your web browser, Tools, udWidget Options, Import Groups and Names, then upload your saved document of the list. Upload the text file you just downloaded. This will now make bounty hunting alot easier. I have it saved as a Note Pad on my desk top. I update it every week or so.

Okay now that you have the Tools.

If you are going to fight PKers you'll need weapons.
A Mall is the quickest way to stock up, but NEVER sleep in a Mall. Always leave enough AP to get to a safe spot to sleep not to close but not to far from the Mall. Stocking takes at least 2 days to get enough Ammo to last a while.

You'll also be needing a Genny and Fuel because most PKers sleep in dark buildings since your hit percent is really low in a dark building. So leave enough room to grab a Genny and a Fuel Can. It is best to work in Teams, the most success in taking out a group of PKers is in Team Work and Coordinated Strikes. So if you are working in Teams you can have a designated Genny/Fuel Carrier or Split the load with a partner 1 carry the Generator and the other The Fuel Can. This way you have more room for more ammo!

Always Carry at least 1 FAK and 1 Needle.

PKers have designated Revivers if you have enough troops this would also be a good idea. Although revives are easy to come by in Green Suburbs. You can also request a revive using this link http://ud-malton.info/revive.php?State=Add+Request

Along with your Guns carry a Axe and Knife, these don't need Bullets and don't need to be reloaded. I have taken a PKer who was Low on Health out with Just a Axe a few times.

Again communication, Team Work, and Coordination is the key. a IRC channel and a Instant Messenger are good ways to chat plan and coordinate a strike. wink.gif

The Rules:
There are protocols to Bounty Hunting as not to get a Bounty on Your Own Head.
Here is the BS PK/Bounty report FAQ - http://s1.zetaboards.com/brainstock/topic/2120046/1
I recomend reading it. cool.gif

1. You must take a screen shot of any PK or Bounty Claim you can host the screen shot on Imageshack, or use IWitness.

2. Go to oppropriate thread
PK report - http://s1.zetaboards.com/brainstock/topic/2115618/1/
Bounty Claim - http://s1.zetaboards.com/brainstock/topic/2115639/1/

3. Here is a "template" you should use for your report:
(Items with a star (*) are mandatory.)
* Killer's UD ID*: [Profile/rapsheet link or ID]
* Person Killed's UD ID*: [Profile/rapsheet link or ID]
* Screenshot URL*: [Direct link to ImageShack image]

Don't Kill Zero Bounty PKers, instead if they kill you report the PK that way a Bounty Will then be put on their head THEN you can kill them. Some Bounty Hunter groups frown upon killing a Zero Bounty PKer and will not associate with groups who do Kill Zero Bounty PKers so any Allies we have we do not want to alienate ourselves from them. Not to mention the more we report PKers the more we can kill them and other Bounty Hunters can also kill them so now you have more Hunters willing to kill the same PKer. wink.gif

Etiquette of Hunting:
Remember they may be the enemy but they are people playing the characters just like you and me. So if you are going to give a good warning it should not be done in spite. Your Pre-Kill "taunt" Should be tasteful, humorous, and well thought out. Never rude, or hateful okay?
