Welcome!

Welcome to BTNB. Here we are accepting all members, as long as you do an application. We don't care what type of picture base you have, or who you use. Doesn't have to be anyone famous, it could even be a picture of yourself. We're here to put writing back into the RPG and not just hollywood stars. Everyone can be someone different if they like. It's the beauty of it. To join up, just read the rules and do your application, and afterwards a plot and you're good to go.

The rules for }} BTNB
Written by: Meggie and Cameron

General Rules}} no distinct category
These rules are the general rules, in saying this we don’t like giving out a lot of rules, but we want things to be tidy and fun for everyone so some rules have to apply for everything, in order to keep things in a friendly type of atmosphere.

Rule #1: The first rule, is to follow all of the rules, simple enough right. However, if there is a question about a rule that you might have, then ask an admin about it and we may change it to fit the needs you have. There are certain one’s we will not change, but better to ask us then to just do it anyways, and then get in trouble. Think before you act. It’s a good life lesson.

Rule #2: The second rule is to be active. Now I understand we all have lives, but posting a couple of RP’s a week, isn’t that bad. I want you to be in at least one topic a week. Even if it’s just a journal entry (in which will be added soon). That way I know that you’re wanting to be here. We have activity checks every two months and then we delete the inactives. An RPG like this needs characters who will be around a long time. In order to make the story work.

Rule #3: The third rule, consists of how you speak with other’s. We understand that people play around so cursing is aloud, but just don’t do it to where it is demeaning or will hurt someone’s feelings. For instance Meg and Cam always joke with one another, and call each other bitches or something like that, and it’s playing. Please make sure it doesn’t offend anyone when you do it though. That way we don’t have any sad members on our hands.

Rule #4: This rule, is for discrimination, it will not be aloud. Discrimination is an act of antagonizing against someone’s race, religion, sexual orientation, sex, or any form of verbal abuse towards something of another person (I.e. action, etc.) It will not be tolerated and you will be banned, on the spot, no warning. (this also includes jokes about sex, race, etc. so don’t use the n-word or you’re banned.)

Rule #5: There is a character limit of five per handler. If you think you can handle five then please do. There will also be a limit on each person, only holding ONE canon character at this time, to leave more options for other's who may want a canon character. (This is unless you want to play one Buffy canon and one Supernatural Canon. there are only gonna be five S/n canons available so pickings will be slim)

Rule #6: Most of all we want you to have fun. That is our main goal here, and if you take the time to r[ead thi]s then you will know that we really are looking for quality members and we appreciate you signing up. (hint: The p/w for the application area is in this rule. The space is included in the password. Be sure to read.)

Application Rules}} rules to follow when applying.

Rule #1: These rules are simple to follow. Be sure to use our application template. Fill it out as specified, and place it in the Submit your Application sub-forum. From there an admin will review your application. If it is what we need, then you will be set. Be sure to check the site ratios as some form of character may be off limits, though everything right now seems to be open.

Rule #2: After your application has been reviewed and accepted, you will then be able to access the Roleplaying boards, but first, you must have a plot. If you need a plot layout, just message the BTNB admin account or Meggie and one of them will get something for you. Please be patient as we can’t be online all the time. (Also: When someone replies to your plot with an add on to your list, please be gracious enough to do the same for them. It takes only a few minutes.)

Rule #3: Once your plot has been posted, you will be set, to begin roleplaying with everyone else. You need to decide which area you live in (I.e. Northern or Southern Italy, but whichever you do, you can still access the other areas as well, it’s just so we know where you live. You can sign up for that in the character sign ups. As well as housing, specific weapons, etc.

Roleplaying Rules}} rules to follow when roleplaying

Rule #1: When Roleplaying, we’d like to see some form of effort, it doesn’t have to be huge, if you’re new, just give us your best, and give the person you’re roleplaying with something to work with. The worst thing to have is to be roleplaying with someone who doesn’t want to give any effort, and this will relate back to General Rule #1. The minimum post amount you can have is two paragraphs (four sentences each) that’s eight sentences and it shouldn’t be hard to do so. If you can’t do eight sentences then we will discuss a plan with you, to help you to reach the minimum (I.e. giving you things to work with as a character)

Rule #2: NO GODMODDING. This means that you can not describe the actions of others unless they’ve given you permission too. However, this doesn’t mean that you can’t say have someone look at you, what it means is if you’re fighting say another character, the rule would be that you can’t control their actions. Just worry about your own actions, they’ll reply with theirs. Simple enough.

Rule #3: When someone has not replied within two days, to your topic, you’re aloud to either A. Call the thread dead, or B. find someone else to thread with. (( This rule only applies to topics that are not open. If the topic says TBC: by anyone, then of course anyone can continue it. )) however, if it says something like {{TBC: Justin ONLY}} Then if Justin doesn’t reply the topic is aloud to be opened for anyone else. Or you can tell an admin that you want it moved to the archive, simple enough.

Rule #4: You can only reply in the housing threads, if you have applied for a house already, or are replying in someone else’s housing. If you make your own housing topic you will be warned. We want our forums to be tidy, as said many times.

Rule #5 There are Four Forums that are specific to certain characters. These are Northern Training grounds, la legione di malvagio, Southern Training Grounds, and dimore malvagi be sure to read the topic description under each one of those to make sure you’re the right type of character, as they are strict against other types. (the training grounds=good only, the Italian names=evil only) Also pay strict attention to other dimensions. Because if you’re a certain type of character, you’d need someone else to help you get through to some of them, etc.

Rule #6 As the story is set on Earth, (some of) the laws of physics apply. That said, characters may not clone (be in more than one thread at once).

Rule #7 This rule is the final rule of this category, please do not post anything out of character on the RP boards. Other then that, the rest is good. Also please keep it PG-13. We don’t want any Rated-X roleplays.

At any time there can be new rules added, so be sure and check back if an announcement is posted The new Rule will most likely be highlighted in some way (I.e. a different color from the other text) and will be important to you. We hope not to add anymore rules, as these are quite enough for anyone, but if you read them then everything shall be smooth sailing.
