I have just obtained this product (Superthrive) and have heard good things about using it, however, now that I have the product I can't seem to find any documentation on using it for my Nepenthes and other carnivorous plants. Does anyone know of any documentation on the use of this product on CP's?

Hi mesial,
Superthrive is one of those concoctions that people either swear by or swear at wink.gif . It's not a fertilizer so much as a rooting hormone and as such it works fine. At least for me. I have used it to help reduce transplant shock and I think it helps. If you want to use it on a regular basis, I would stick to the one drop per gallon suggested on the lable unless you have a plant you can spare for experimenting on with stronger dilutions. There is really no scientific study that I know of proving or disproving Superthrives claims.

Here's an update! I've been using it at a rate of one drop per gallon of water that I add to the soil. I have seen a drastic improvement in all plants. My Sibuyanensis has tripled, maybe even quadrupled in size since then. Pitchers have increased in size, some plants producing pitchers that went from 1/2-3/4 inch to 3-4 inches. I'm getting such a good response that I have no plans of increasing the dosage or frequency. Thanks for your input, it has helped me greatly. biggrin.gif
