My only guess is that they wanted to fix the broken part of it and the fixed part was a differant color so they just decided ot paint ver all of it.

It like if you drew some anime thing for me and i colored over it and made the whole page black cuz i thought i looked better.
Although the people that did paint it are like in there 30 or some shit. so it prolly dont even matter.
