here's another dispatcher..interesting that it was grandfather's jeep but no title. With the expense and difficulty of titling they are missing the boat by not getting one before selling..THey went to the trouble of priming the entire jeep for the auction.....neat 1/4 windows in the top.

Does the passenger seat bracketry look anything like the correct stuff for a Surrey? It is the last pic in his auction pictures...

Hi FBill-
I recall looking at the photos, but can't remember now if they look like the ones on my Surrey or not. The 1/4 windows in the rear of the top look very much like 48-54 Chevy pickup units. Not a bad job putting them in there. It went for $800, and didn't have the engine or trans in it. Somebody got a pretty good deal on it, but don't know why they didn't try to get a title for it. If they try to title it in AZ, I had given AZMVD all the DJ3A information relative to production numbers/year manufactured in 2010, when I got my Surrey properly titled as a 1960 in AZ from Massachusetts, who screwed it up and titled it as a 56 due to the 56337 model number. I was able to finally get MVD to look at the info I had and within 30 minutes I had it titled correctly. Wonders never cease!

Colin
