Title: CJ3B Bulletin Board Search Function
Description: How to perform a search

Hopefully this will answer most questions that people have regarding the Bulletin Board search function.

Have you ever tried to use the main search function at the bottom of the page? If you haven't, don't bother - it does not work. This has been disabled for years now. It was a decision made by the administrators of InvisionFree, not the administrators of the CJ3B Bulletin Board. Apparently the search function was inefficient and put a huge load on the servers.

As a stop-gap, we used a temporary search function located at the top of the page. Basically, this used Google to search the site. It didn't really give a lot of search options, just put in the word or phrase you wanted to search and it returned all results. Several weeks ago, this apparently stopped working as well. We have submitted a help ticket with InvisionFree and they are having the site developer look into it.

Currently, we can still use Google to search the site, but it takes a bit more work. Please follow the steps below.

1. Browse to Google.com

2. Copy and paste the following bold text (and ONLY the bold text) into the Google search: site:z4.invisionfree.com/CJ3B_Bulletin_Board followed by a single space.

3. Then type the word or phrase you want to search for.

This will utilize Google, but will only search the CJ3B Bulletin Board.

Hope this helps.
