I am looking for an original C-319 puller (see the poto below from the shop manual) or advice as to another type of puller that can be safely used.

Are your drums this type? I think they are outboard mounted and you shouldn't have to use a hub puller....???? -------------------- 59 convertible 15933 needs drivetrain

Yes my drums are outboard mounted but when restoring my Surrey initially we managed to destroy a drum (bent badly) trying to release the drum from the hub. My guys did finally get it off using a puller but I didn't see what they used. I thought I'd better start looking now for the proper puller rather than wait until I NEED to pull the rear drums/hubs.
Thanks for the photo of the 4 arm puller I will start looking for one. |

Bill-
The tool that Bruce sent you a photo of is a Ken Tool T500L and it should work for you just fine. On another note, Derek sent me an email from a TV Production Assistant, Brandy Maruschak, on the TV show Burn Notice, who needs a Surrey in Florida, in the Miami area. She needs the Surrey next week for a couple of days. I called her and also sent her photos of your Surrey. In the email I sent her, I also sent it to you for a response. I hope you have your Surrey back on the road by now and might be able to help her out. This would be a great PR boost for the Surreys. Her contact info is in the email I sent you earlier this evening. Go for it!! Colin |
