QUOTE
On the engine number...does the embossed 803895 on the lower part of the block and 803 stamped and 895 embossed beside the carburetor mean anything?

I prefer that you post general technical questions like this onto the CJ-3B Posts forum.
Those are W/O part numbers for the basic castings.

Well, it's been almost 2 years to the day and my 3B rebuild is nearing completion.

I'll probably get beat up some, but decided to go thru this project without posting pictures as I went.

I wanted to see if the rebuild could be accomplished without asking any questions from you guys, and just rely on reading threads and most of all, using the Search function. It worked like a champ. Great resource.

After loosing a phone with lots of pictures, and a hard drive with even more, I found all that I could. Most are more recent.

This was a picture from the other day. I'll post them back to Nov 2011 as I can find them.

Halfway thru this rebuild I had a hip replacement. During the operation, the doctor broke my pelvis and I ended up in a wheelchair and then a walker for 4 months. Needless to say, there wasn't much rebuilding getting done. It didd give me plenty of time to search for parts and information on this forums Search function.

Here are a few more pictures…hope you enjoy them.

Welcome back to the rebuild. Hang in there. Sounds like both you and the "B" are undergoing restoration.
