Recently purchased a 1960 cj3b and went to do an oil change when I realized I cannot locate the oil filter. I know that it is supposed to be next to where you fill the oil and dipstick but there is no sign of it or anything that would hold it. Has this jeep really been running without one? Or is there a chance someone relocated it?

Certainly both scenarios are feasable.

Upload engine compartment pics if possible.

The oil pressure hose going into the filter is normally attached just underneath (behind) of the fuel pump.
