Could someone give me the dimensions for the tail gate surround? Mine is so badly decomposed I can’t get trustworthy dimensions for reproduction.

Thanks

My dimensions:

The interior opening is 36" wide by 14" high

The side of surround overlaps the exterior body by 1.5"
and overlaps into the bed 7/8".

The bottom of the surround overlaps the exterior body by 2" and overlaps
into the bed by the same 7/8".

Hope it helps.

It would be great to see how you fabricate it. I know pic's are a pain, but if you get a chance...

In my case my Fabrication list is so long its a blessing to find good fitting Body parts that I dont have to rework or beat it with a hammer,,, Saves me time to deal with other things,,,

I'm just wondering if Steven Greene ever got his new repro sheet metal parts business (okay, his dad's old JeepPanels Plus, but with a new name) up and running in Maine and if anyone has been able to get in touch with him. The phone # and e-mail he'd posted sometime back seems to have come to an abrupt end.

Larry,
I think he's in business. I haven't talked with him. There's been skeptical talk about his business over on the 2A Forums.

It seems like there is some activity on this website after checking the Guestbook.

Thanks for the update Russ. I had bought one of the last panels Sheldon made (a rear panel for an M416 trailer) before he passed that ended up with Steven calling me about it a few months later; (he and his mom wasn't quite sure that I'd ever received it). Anyway, he seemed like a very knowledgible young man with quite a bit of experience who sincerely wanted to carry on his dad's business.
