All right!
Just got a hold of the new poster! :)
Notice:
1. The colors are a lot better
2. Zahns t-shirt and chest looks better
3. The tagline is changed to "Adventure has a new destination"
4. The title font is now the same as that in the trailer.
:P
That is sweet, I had to pull my original out to look at the differences. Now the hunt is on to try and find one. Thanks! J
...I still think it looks sophmore-ish - spy kids meet "dazed and confused".....
I think they are trying to attract as wide range of a crowd as possible with this movie. It has a PG-13 rating, the "heroes" aren't the typical big budget action flick stars we're used to, and the movie poster follows suit. People who know what it's about are going to go for the great story, but people who see "spy kids" in the poster might want to bring their children along, thus adding to the number of people in the theaters. I personally don't like the poster that much, but I think the movie is still going to be pretty good. (Just gotta keep telling myself it's just a movie and not the movie that plays in my head when I read the book).
I think the phrase "Matthew McConnaughey goes on swashbuckling rampage through the Sahara desert" is not an accurate synopsis of Clive's story, but it serves to attract a younger crowd as well.
I just got the new poster in and it looks really cool!!
