I was reading the details about "Sahara" on the Internet Movie Database and there was a statement by Clive that said he knew nothing about the story of "Sahara" and denied having anything to do with the story or the movie.
Then I enter the bookstore several months later and I see the book "Sahara" with his name on it. i am confused about wether this book was based on the movie or visa versa.

Hi, Sahara was written and published by Cussler in 1992. The movie Sahara which is based on Cussler's book was produced in 2005.

Just finished "Raise the Titanic" and started "Sahara". Another great CC book with a great start to it. When you pick up a book with a title like that you certainly don't expect for it to start during the American Civil war. :lol:

But, as usual Clive always throws unexpected stuff at you. That's what makes him such a great writer.

Can't exactly remember which book, I think it was "Atlantis Found" where Dirk is running from some baddies in Morocco and he's looking for a car to help him escape. Sees a car lot across the street, looks at a car and a guy approaches him, you assume it's a car salesman, and sezs, Hi, "I'm Clive Cussler" and sells him the car to help him escape. :lol:
