Here is a list (book by book) of some of the references Clive Cussler makes to his other books, starting with...

The Mediterranean Caper

Reference to Pacific Vortex!:

It seemed strange, but Gunn couldn't stop his mind from drifting back many months ago to the bridge of another ship, a tramp steamer called the Dana Gail. He remembered as though it was only an hour ago seeing the same expression on Pitt's face just before the old rusty hulk cast off to find and destroy a mysterious seamount in the Pacific, north of Hawaii. The Mediterranean Caper (8)

Reference to Pacific Vortex!:

Pitt- "I saw the same equipment on an old ship in the Pacific just last year." The Mediterranean Caper (14)

Reference to Pacific Vortex!:

Gunn remembered that he had trusted Pitt's judgement on that Delphi Ea affair in Hawaii last year, and he hadn't been let down. The Mediterranean Caper (15)

"Dirk Pitt"

"The fellow who raised the Titanic a few months back?" Vixen 03 (47)

Reference to Raise the Titanic!:

A 1912 Renault open-drive landaulette."

"Seems a bit worse for the wear, "said Jarvis, wiping a finger through a layer of rust.

Pitt smiled patiently. "She doesn't really look all that bad when you consider she's been immersed in the sea for seventy years."

Jarvis understood immediately. "From the Titanic?"

"Yes, I was allowed to keep her after the salvage project. Sort of a prize for services rendered., so to speak." Vixen 03 (50)

Helene Noelle - September 3, 2004 12:10 AM (GMT)
Night Probe! Night Probe!

Reference to Raise the Titanic!:

"Mr. Pitt, I'm Ray Weeks. This is indeed an honor. I was absorbed by your work on the Titanic raising. You might even say I'm a fan of yours." Night Probe! (53)

Helene Noelle - September 3, 2004 12:12 AM (GMT)
Deep Six

Reference to Iceberg:

"The Catawba," he repeated as if reminiscing.

"Yes, you know of her?"

"Set a copter on her flight pad myself a few years ago."

"Where was that?"

"North Atlantic, near Iceland." He was gazing beyond the island now. He sighed and massaged his temples. "A good friend and I were hunting for a ship imbedded in an iceberg."

"Did you find it?"

He nodded. "A burned-out hulk. Barely beat the Russians to it. Later we crashed in the surf on the Icelandic coast. My friend was killed" Deep Six (5)

Reference to Night Probe!:

The President's eyes widened. "I know Mr. Pitt. He proved most helpful on the Canadian affair a few months ago." Deep Six (4)

Helene Noelle - September 3, 2004 12:14 AM (GMT)

Reference to Deep Six:

"You overlooked the capabilities of Pitt and Giordino," Sandecker replied with a sharp edge to his voice. "It wouldn't be the first time they bailed out a fancy intelligence agency carnival."

Kern looked at him strangely, then turned to Jordan for help, but it was the President who answered.

"I think what Admiral Sandecker is referring to are the several occasions Mr. Pitt has saved the government's ass. One in particular hits close to home." The President paused for effect. "You see, it was Pitt who saved my life along with that of Congresswoman Smith four years ago in the gulf."

"I remember." Jordan turned from the five. "He used an old Mississippi River paddle steamer to do it." Dragon (45)

Helene Noelle - September 3, 2004 12:17 AM (GMT)
Sahara

Reference to Treasure:

Hala stared off into space as she spoke. "About five years ago, the three men you sent up the Niger saved my life from terrorist assassins, not once but twice. Reference to Sahara:

It reminded him of his trek across the Sahara Desert of Northern Mali with Giordino two years before. They had come within minutes of dying under the fiery hell of scorching temperatures with no water. Trojan Odyssey

His mind relived the many times he had cheated the old man with the scythe. The hazardous journey down the underground river in search of Inca Gold, the fight in the Sahara against overwhelming odds in the old French Foreign Legion fort, the battle in the Antarctic [Atlantis Found] with the giant old snowmobile, and the raising of the Titanic. Trojan Odyssey (18)

Reference to Pacific Vortex!:

As he stared through the window into nothingness, his mind traveled back to where it had all begun on that lonely stretch of beach at Kaena Point on the island of Oaku in Hawaii. He met the woman who became his first love from the moment he laid eyes on her. He had carried her vision in his memory, always believing she had died, never knowing that she had survived, until Dirk and Summer showed up on his doorstep. Trojan Odyssey (18)

Reference to Treasure:

"And he and Al Giordino discovered artifacts from the Alexandria Library in Texas," added Dirk. Trojan Odyssey (24)

Reference to Sahara:

"Like the Calliope we were forced to destroy several years ago on the Niger River?" said Pitt without looking up as he took notes on a yellow pad.
Trojan Odyssey (15)

Reference to Sahara:

Pitt - "We've had wild times together, Rudi. It's always a pleasure to work by your side."
"Like the time in Mali on the Niger River when you threw me off the boat?"
"As I recall, that was a necessity." Trojan Odyssey (18)

Reference to Sahara:

"When was the last time you chased a freight train? Pitt asked Giordino, as they hurried across the road and stood talking in detachment as the locomotive passed by, the engineer inside the cab reading a magazine.
"Several years ago in the Sahara desert, the train carrying toxic chemicals to Fort Foureau." Trojan Odyssey (29)

Micky was quite surprised to learn how Pitt and Giordino had discovered the river and saved Loren from a gang of artifact thieves during the Inca Gold project.
"Rio Pitt," said Micky, impressed. Trojan Odyssey (16)

Reference to Shock Wave:

After the Shock Wave exploits, he [Pitt] was savvy enough to know that rubies and emeralds were more rare than diamonds. Trojan Odyssey (49)

Reference to Atlantis Found:

"...This was built by different culture, a lost and unknown civilization."
"Not another Atlantis myth, " Summer said sarcastically.
"No, Dad and Al put that one to rest in the Antarctic several years ago."
Trojan Odyssey (6)

Reference to Valhalla Rising:

"Our father found proof of the Vikings' presence in the United States," argued Summer. Trojan Odyssey (24)

Reference to White Death:

"How about a fishing trip in the north woods of Canada?" Pitt suggested.
Trojan Odyssey (14)

Reference to White Death:

"Where is the old geezer sending you two?" asked Giordino.
"Heading for the Canadian north country. There's rumors of mutant fish in some of the lakes. The admiral asked us to check it out." [Austin] Trojan Odyssey (15)

Helene how about this one for pacific vortex?

He did know, however, that the transition from one Dirk Pitt to the other took place more frequently in the past year - since Pitt lost a woman in the sea near Hawaii; a woman he had loved deeply. (mayday pg 13)

Giordino had never seen eyes quite like them, except one, and he shuddered slightly at the recollectionas he glanced at the missing finger oh his right hand. (mayday pg 13)

Reference to Serpent :

She snapped her fingers. "Of course. Now I remember. The Christopher Columbus Tomb in the Yucatán. You were involved in its discovery." Fire Ice (8)

Reference to Blue Gold :

Austin was aboard the Argo as a deep-ocean consultant on loan from his duties as leader of NUMA Special Assignments Team. The other members of the team, Joe Zavala and Paul and Gamay Trout, had been given and undemanding assignments in scattered projects around the globe. NUMA director James Sandecker had insisted that they take working vacations after the team had crossed swords with the hired killers of a megacorporation that wanted to take over the freshwater resources of the world. He had been particularly worried about Austin's attachment to the beautiful, brilliant Brazilian scientist who has sacrificed herself to bring down the conspiracy. Fire Ice (4)

Reference to Pacific Vortex!

Pitt did not take a backward glance. He felt deep regret at not having said his farewells. It was rude to have denied Maeve the courtesy of a friendly hug and a few words. He had genuinely felt attracted to her. She had aroused emotions within him that he hadn't experienced since losing someone very dear to him in the sea north of Hawaii many years ago. Her name was Summer, and not a day had passed that he didn't recall her lovely face and the scent of plumeria.
Shock Wave (13)

Reference to Night Probe :

"Just one question," said Stokes, "dealing with a shipwreck."

"The Empress of Ireland?"

Pitt slouched in his seat and grinned. "She was a Canadian & Pacific transatlantic liner that went down after a collision with a collier in the St. Lawrence River a couple of miles from the town of Rimouski in the year 1914. The death toll was over a thousand, many of them from a contingent of the Salvation Army that was going to England for a convention. The ship lies in about fifty meters of water.
