	Today in my archaeology class I learned that Tupac Amaru is the name one of the most famous cities/sites for Incan artifacts in Peru. Many of the artifacts have been looted and are being sold in the backrooms of shops in the area, or are being destroyed as progress plows through the city. It was great of Cussler to incorporate the name of this area into the book Inca Gold.

	Yeah. I noticed the name. Wondered If Lynn "Buck" Compton was the inspiration for that character.

	In Valhalla Rising there is a Coast Guard Commander named Buck Compton. There is a Lynn "Buck" Compton who was a member of the 101st Airborne Division in WWII. He was also a prosecutor in the trial against Sirhan Sirhan.

	NOTE: Eric Cussler, Clive Cussler's father, moved from Germany to the United States of America and eventually met Amy Hunnewell. They married and gave birth to Clive. If "Gunn" figures in as a family name, it would have to be on Clive Cussler's maternal side. Haven't found any leads indicating this is the case, but it was a good thought. Going back to Hunnewell, there is a character named Dr. William "Bill Hunnewell in Iceberg (1,2 ,3 4,5)!

	JamieNYY, I have not uncovered links to date with the character name source for Rudolph "Rudi" Gunn relating to Clive Cussler. Will have to investigate that one!
