You may edit the post you are quoting here	Great Just joined the site and wanted to say am saddened because I only started reading Clive Cussler books in June (started with Pacific Vortex) and I havent stopped reading them since But the problem is I am down to my last few books and am iching to read them but dont want to finish them all too quick but I am going out and looking for this book and I cant wait. Keep up the good work and I will be visiting now that I have found you all.

	A realistic tale of a Hero who is no longer as agile but still can kick butt when it's necessary. This is a gritty tale of surviving deserts, mountains, and Lake Baikal, a true test of a man's mettle and still can then piece together what he is up against. This is one epic adventure tale that will take your breath away.

	This book is full of the old heart stopping acton of Dirk Pitt. it's great read it (goes without saying)

	Just finished Treasure of Khan, thoroughly enjoyed it. Glad they were able to fit everyone in.

	Yeahhh I got the book for Christmas. Just finished reading it about an hour ago. What can I say except "Hail Hail the gangs all here" Of course I think Sandecker should have been in it more.

	Richard had eye surgery so I am reading for him right now. We both thoroughly enjoyed the Treasure of Kahn. I can tell when Dirk is writing and when it is Clive. It will take me a little bit to get comfortable with Dirk, although Black Wind was great. He just has a slightly different rhythm to his writing and a few words he throws in that just aren't old enough for Clive to use. The book was great and I loved the different plots that all tie together so nicely. Enjoyed the journey around Mongolia, with the dry dusty winds here, if I stepped into the yard and ate a mouthful of dirt it almost felt like I was with Pitt and Giordino walking across the desert again......Poor Al he get dragged through some nasty situation with his boss. He deserves a great big glass of something at the end of these hikes. Thank you for another day of exciting reading. I didn't put it down but read all night, then had to re read it for Richard. Just finished my 3rd time through and still like it as much as I did the first. Jo-Ann E. Palmer

	Welcome Micheal. I am still waiying for my books ordered through the PP web site. Seems like some of you have already got them. Hope mine won't be long! Shant read them of course!! Will have to wait 'till the PB comes out. Merry Xmas everybody and a happy and healthy New Year.

	Ace, you foiled my plan to keep it all quiet LOL Thanks for all the kind words, folks. Quite true, I still find it difficult to believe! I'm absolutely overwhelmed. The most shocking aspect of ToK is that the wonderfully-named Captain stays in the book all the way until page 148. Which makes Dirk Pitt a kind of a supporting character All right -- I'm off to give the book another go. That's the kind of stuff I'll never tire of rereading. P.S. Empress: Love your language skills P.P.S. As to HOW and WHY I got into the book -- that's a tale I hope to share with all of you over drinks in Charleston.
